This guy is the most beautiful, soulful guitarist in the world -- and there is no one -- jazz, classical or otherwise who comes close to his depth of tenderness and feeling. His touch on the guitar is the equivalent of that of the great jazz pianist Bill Evans' touch on the piano. This is what art is supposed to be about -- simply wonderful.

You can clearly see (and hear) Tommy was moved by the gravity of playing his friend and mentor's historic instrument. Beautiful.

Tommy practices 10 hours per day. he created his own talent.

Someone said that this man is the best guitar player in the World, I can't argue with that. It's like he's part of the guitar.

Tommy’s love of music is so apparent when he plays and God has blessed him immensely with such talent.

My wife and I were lucky enough to sit in the front row for this event, amazing venue in the CMHOF - as always Tommy was amazing and gracious. I'll also say that I was BLOWN AWAY by the excellence of Joe Robinson, he's a stellar player, and you can see how his relationship with Tommy has impacted him....LOVED those guitars too :)

I think it's the new one Tommy wrote for his wife "Clara's tune". Beautiful just like she is!! Cheers, Bunny

Tommy Emmanuel is one of the very few guitarist who are able to play every single piece they play with their full dedication...it's like a fusion with the guitar. He is able to go straight to the heart of people and it feels like our very soul is hit by his heavenly touch and always a tempo playing. This guy is a legend.

I am now 100% sure that tommy Emmanuel is the greatest Guitar player of all time! No one can or in my opinion will ever equal him! Just mesmerising!

We were present for this performance at the Country Music Hall of fame

When this guy plays, he makes the world a better place!!!

If you've never seen Tommy live, do so ASAP. You will not believe your ears or your eyes. He is astounding.

That guitars tone is instantly recognizable. Sounds just as good as it did in the 50s.

Reminded me of why I wanted to play guitar in the first place. What an incredible tone. Brought back lots of memories of listening to Chet when I was a kid back in the 60s.

Wow, such passion, chops, and tone! I haven't seen Tommy play an electric before, and he played it so beautifully as he channeled the spirit of his idol/mentor. Bravo!

Tommy, I was raised up in music. I've been around so many players. But when you play it just carries me away. You are such a great player. Your true personality comes thru in your playing. Your brother Phil was a great player himself. He was such a loss.

I'm usually quite happy when the audience is large but not hyper-huge. I feel the same about Rory Gallagher, John Martyn, Nick Drake, and a whole load more. Recognition by those who really appreciate rather than the hyped up idolatry that is the ruin of a lot of talents. Keeps it real, to use a hackneyed phrase ... but this time a hear-felt one .

Such a great artist!! Chet Atkins' legacy lives on through Tommy!

Saw Tommy in ‘08 in San Diego. We were not disappointed.

That's what they said about Buddy Holly. Sadly most people today have never heard of Chet Atkins or his music. And these same people listen to the trash of today passing itself off as music. Only the fortunate few like us that care about music - REAL music will ever know the glory of it.

OMG , that was so beautiful I can hardly stand it. I'm awestruck. Tommy plays with incredible emotion, and tenderness, like the guitar is a part of his soul. I have to keep telling myself, "It's just a piece of wood." Tommy makes the guitar alive. AMAZING MUSICIAN!!

So beautiful. Chet collaborated with and greatly admired Tommy Emmanuel. If you want to hear two guitar icons jamming and joking as they do it, try and find the album, "Chester and Lester." Chet and Les Paul doin' their thing.
