Tommy Emmanuel Plays Chet Atkins' "Dark Eyes" Guitar at The Country Music Hall of Fame ~ Nashville

Музыка

Come visit us at www.doylecoils.com - LES PAUL’S FINAL DREAM OF THE ULTIMATE HUMBUCKER PICKUP COMES TO LIFE!
MORE INFO ABOUT THIS GUITAR AT www.darkeyesproto.com/
Our good friend Tommy Emmanuel brings Chet Atkins' Gretsch 6120 Prototype aka "DARK EYES" to The Country Music Hall of Fame Gretsch event on July 16th, 2016. Tommy talks a little about the guitar's history and the now famous legacy of Chet Atkins and Gretsch Guitars... and then pours his heart out with this absolutely haunting piece. Bravo Tommy... Bravo!
What a heartfelt and stirring tribute to Mr. Chet Atkins and his early Gretsch "Dark Eyes" Proto guitar... It was like Chet's ghost was there in the room, watching over everyone. History was made today... simply amazing. Tommy is playing a song he wrote for his wife called "Clara's Theme"
We were deeply moved in a way that we have not been moved before... with such a deep sense of pride, loss, honor, melancholy, bittersweet, joy, and finality. We are so proud to be a part of Chet's legacy and hopefully (God willing) our guitar will end up at The Country Music Hall of Fame for ever and ever... for all to marvel.
A sincere thanks to Tommy Emmanuel, Max Stavron for making all of this possible, and to Fred Grestch, Joe Carducci, John Knowles, Mark Pritcher, Mick Buck, and all the good folks at CMHOF.
For more info please visit www.darkeyesproto.com/
This piece is call "Clara's Theme" - Tommy's ode to his wife Clara

This guy is the most beautiful, soulful guitarist in the world -- and there is no one -- jazz, classical or otherwise who comes close to his depth of tenderness and feeling. His touch on the guitar is the equivalent of that of the great jazz pianist Bill Evans' touch on the piano. This is what art is supposed to be about -- simply wonderful.

I'll also say that I was BLOWN AWAY by the excellence of Joe Robinson, he's a stellar player, and you can see how his relationship with Tommy has impacted him....LOVED those guitars too :)

Tommy Emmanuel is one of the very few guitarist who are able to play every single piece they play with their full dedication...it's like a fusion with the guitar. He is able to go straight to the heart of people and it feels like our very soul is hit by his heavenly touch and always a tempo playing. This guy is a legend.

Recognition by those who really appreciate rather than the hyped up idolatry that is the ruin of a lot of talents. Keeps it real, to use a hackneyed phrase ... but this time a hear-felt one .
