I really hope they do the same for wonder woman. An animated series is long overdue

Honestly wasn't expecting much from this teaser but the animation is balanced, the character design is consistent, the art style is reminiscent of that comic book style used by Man of Action studios adventure cartoons with a touch of season one of Castlevania. Netflix miss more than they hit with adaptations but this looks like it might hit. I hope it sticks the landing, Lara could do with a win.

I hope someday, a live-action (LARA CROFT) show series, will get made. If it does get made someday; I imagine it would show Lara’s beginnings, to her first exploration adventure, in her first tomb. In addition to (Lara Croft) discovering secret dark societies, and to discovering wicked individuals hidden around her. Plus to add much later (Lara Croft) comes across mysterious magical artifacts.

This was announced AGES ago. Nice to see it finally getting done.

Agreed. 90s Lara had so much style and was fun, especially in the comics of that era. The Legend trilogy was fine too but the reboot trilogy was waaay to serious and boring. Give us 90s classic Lara.

the whole point of the 2013 trilogy is to show how lara came to be the lara u 90s kids know. she has her dual pistol moment when she kills Matthias in the 2013 game as a nod to the og, but dont expect her to instantly be a dual-wielding badass, bcos the whole point of the trilogy is to show how she gets to that point. its sad how the very well-written emotional character arc in the new games gets overshadowed by "ugh no dual pistols!!"

@@Dio-xo9rvIt's reboot Lara from the reboot games that started with Tomb Raider 2013 which was a very popular trilogy and saved the series after the crap that was Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness almost killed the franchise as the first attempt to reboot the series Tomb Raider Anniversary, Tomb Raider: Legend, and then Tomb Raider: Underworld got mixed reviews mostly due to the fact fans still had a bad taste in their mouths due Angel of Darkness being so bad.

Reboot Lara is so damn generic. So many people prefer the OG design because she was unique. This one has always felt like she was made to pass some ESG score before it was even a thing.

Word has it that Lara will be voiced by Hayley Atwell. Nice!

A good fit. I grew up with her as an action icon. She's right up there with James Bond in my list of favorite characters.

I was very excited that Tomb Raider will come on Netflix, I've been a fan of Tomb Raider games since I was a teenager. I didn't played the classic Tomb Raider games since it came out when I was a little boy and I was too young to play it until I was old enough. I'm also waiting for Tomb Raider Remastered Classic games coming to PlayStation 5 next year.

Love how the animation very beautifully incorporates the archers paradox in the arrow and the 3rd animation intro just has the arrow go in a rigged line hahaha. Bit of a jarring transition.

I don't see a problem with Lara Croft transitioning to television via streaming services. It always seemed a perfect fit but then again I would've prefered a live action version over animation.

And there is nothing realistic about getting impaled by dirty rusty nails and more! again and again, just to be magically healed after 5 minutes. A realistic Lara would be dead after TR2013 intro sequence. Survivor ReReboot "Lara" is really, really far away from anything realistic.

@@benwasserman8223 Exactly in the first game of this timeline she scared the Solari cult that worshipped Himiko so bad they actually thought she was a Okami Akuma translation from the Japanese "Wolf Demon" hence after that one section and she walks out with the WW2-Era German Sub-Machine Gun ready to start mowing down the cultists that tried to gas her like a badass and their response when they see her is to start panicking saying "She lives she lives the Okami Akuma lives" and after Lara like a pissed off badass states "Yes she does!" they run scared shitless and she starts gunning them down with 0 hesitation.
