Great show, But I really didn't like the ending. The protagonist's choice at the end left a sour taste in my mouth. Like why would you listen to the person you hate thr most ? Don't listen to him.

I lost count how many times I watched Blue Eye Samurai, discover something new every time I rewatch… I barely watch any TV… Blue Eye Samurai is a true masterpiece!

This definitely is one of THE best shows in Netflix right now. A season 2 is definitely needed!

Ep 5 made me tear up from 5 different emotions. From sadness to awe at hoe good the story telling was to the incredibly artistic fight choreo. Insanly beilliant ep and show.

Can someone explain to me the story and Mizu? I thought Mizu was the ronin, but it turns out she was the bride all along because the bride became an onryo out of spite, and almost everyone calls Mizu an onryo. Don’t get me wrong, I love the twist but I fail to understand how can it be, you know?

Episode 5 was a one of the greatest TV episodes ever broadcast, regardless of drama.

It's interesting how this episode has such a video-game vibe. It has the obvious aspect of levels, boss fights, and even a "checkpoint" or save point in the form of that kitchen, where she "refills her health" by putting her foot in the iced water.

It's a tribute to the Bruce Lee film Game of Death, which is the basis for countless video games and entertainment media since it's vision was realized in the 70s. edit: Also if you enjoyed this episode a lot I highly recommend Train to Busan, Katanagatari, and Old Boy. Katanagatari being about the most closely related to this show, following an alt history of the same time period as this anime and animated in an equally artistic way as 12 separate episodes that were released once per month for a year each one themed after each month and canonically taking place over the course of a year reflected in the aired month.

Blue eye samurai is the reason why I downloaded Netflix. When i watched the first episode on KZread i was HOOKED!!! Finished the whole season in one day and I DEFINITELY NEED A SEASON 2!!!!

You know you got a special show when you can't predict the storyline. Awaiting the second season.😊

She wants to find Fowler since episode 1, she finds him at the end. her journey is one person tells her to go to a destination, she goes there, kills anyone who tries to assassinate her, and continues to the next objective. nothing unexpected to me

The last time I felt this way about a TV series was when I watched Avatar The Last Airbender. That deserved its 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. And now this. Blue Eye Samurai also deserves its 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. I'm glad that Rotten Tomatoes shares our sentiments.

Leaving the color in her and the big guys eyes for the fight sequence was SUCH. A nice choice. This show is amazing and the choreography is seriously top notch. Can’t wait for another season, people need to stop sleeping on this show 😤🙌

I started this show expecting just some cool battles and generic story... but man, I was served an marvellous story, with an excelent storytelling, classic and real characters, beautiful dialogues and scenes so symbolicals... please season 2 on my table right now!

"you are more man than any man who has walked through my door". The fact that no one knows she's a girl until Ringo and Fowler found out is just too good to be true. Fowler "why do keeps happening", Yes she will always keep happen because Vengeance, determination and not wanting to be seen as a woman is what really makes Mizu unstoppable. When you pretend to be what you are not, you try everything possible so no one knows "your bones break like that of a woman"- statement came up twice from Fowler and someone else I can't remember when she was almost done for, but it set her ablaze. I really enjoyed this series than arcane, that I watched it whole twice a day. So happy for the renewal and salute to all those that brought us this Master piece 🙌

I loved it when i heard "for whom the bells tolls", really didnt expect it here, made these scenes a lot better for me.

The decision to do a black and white homage to old samurai movies with strategic splashes of color is amazing, just what I'd expect from this show.

I watched the first 6 episodes of this last night and it's ace. The fight scenes are amazing.

I'm not really a connoisseur of anime. Yet this show absolutely blew me away and left me hungry for more. Honestly, I consider myself lucky to have been able to see it. While Episode 7 - Nothing Broken - is stunning, it's Episode 5 - The Ronin & The Bride - that is the hidden masterpiece in a series where episode is memorable.

Glad to see the people that are watching realize how good this show is. The writing and character development, the attention to detail and historical accuracy in the designs. This is a perfect show and Netflix is doing pretty great things in animation specifically

I never leave comments on KZread, but this is one of my favorite tv shows full stop. Everything in this show, from the characters, to the animation, to the fight scenes, is simply stunning. I sincerely hope this gets renewed again and again because I would love to see Mizu's journey through to the end. We need storylines like this -- representation matters!

This show deserves more hype!! Most who have given this show a chance ended up loving it. If only this reached more people and all of them gave it a shot, it could possibly reach higher on the ranking charts 💯

This series is a masterpiece and this episode alone tells so much with so little words. The choreography, camera angle, movement, the music that flows with the actions played and last but not least, the protagonist; so fragile, so humane, but yet so strong, resilient and composed. Definitely one of the best animation ever produced. Double thumbs up~

This is easily one of the best animated series I have ever watched, I can't think of anything that I don't like about it.

Masterpiece. More people should be spreading the word. it's already out of the top 10

It won’t. The show was made with creativity and storytelling as its primary motivation rather than profit or acclaim. I don’t think they would stretch it out or continue the series once Mizo’s story is finished, even if Netflix pushed for it.

I enjoyed this serie so much, even my wife who's not an anime type of person sat down to fully watch it with me.

Re-doing the episode in black and white looks amazing.

Scene of her fighting the giant is perfect, especially how the eyes glow for both of them.

This episode was straight out of a videogame. Holy shit.

Holy @#$% this is amazing! Metallica "For whom the bell tolls" in Japanese, I love it. A masterpeice is born.

This show in general was fantastic, and this episode was definitely a stand out. I really hope this show gets the respect it deserves.

Ehhh. I don’t think that’s true. They still have a pretty good selection of content, especially in some areas: Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Peaky Blinders, Ozark, Narcos, Last Chance U, etc. Don’t get me wrong, they’ve been fumbling a ton in some areas, but there’s more good there than just anime.

This is one of the best animations I have watched. So many action shows try to sell "strong female characters" that wear heels, tight clothing, untied long hair and etc. in fight scenes. They are not realistic at all, only entrenching stereotypes. Mizu is such a fascinating, complex and truly strong female character. I am deeply touched by her and the other characters' story. Sincerely hope there is a season 2.

Mizu is amazing and realistic don’t get me wrong but it’s so irritating how people keep comparing her to other women characters. It still feels sexist to do that, it feels reminiscent to ppl comparing women’s looks in the early 2000’s, but now it’s how much of a badass they are. There are unrealistic badass male characters out there, why can’t we have this mix of female characters in peace yknow what i mean? Just compliment Mizu in peace without making it another contrived competition, tho at the very least the women being compared this time are fictional I’ll give it that.

Greatest show of all time, PLEASE make a season 2, this needs one desperately.

Good news for all us fans, Netflix is actually making a second season.

The episode before this is a masterpiece in both story telling and action choreography, I've spoken.

Absolutely stunning art and cinematography! It's like a feast to the eyes. Never a bore moment. After having seen Blue Eye Samurai, it is hard to watch any other animated series because they are just too dull!

This is honestly an all timer from Netflix any era. BANGER

This is my favorite series of all time. It ticks every box and doesn't hold back on anything. Just an incredible show!

I binged this all on Sunday and I’m definitely going to binge it again! Episode 5 is the best!!!

Season 2 is definitely on the way, and the show's creators have confirmed that they have at least two more seasons planned should they get the green light from Netflix.

This series is top notch! ⚡️ - Art/Animation: 10/10 - Story: 10/10 - Sound: 9.5/10 - Dialogue: 10/10 This is how you make authentic characters, doesn’t matter it’s male or female. The “w-ke” Disney can learn a thing or two from this show.

It started being used in the 2010s to matters involving other marginalized communities, and it started being used on social media by left-leaning white Americans as a form of solidarity with Black Lives Matter once they came to prominence. Right-leaning people and some centrists started using it as a sarcastic pejorative by around 2020, and nowadays it's used as a disparaging term towards advocates of racial equality and similar progressive movements.

The animation is a chef's kiss. Absolutely stunning piece of work. Excellent soundtrack as well. Story is also very well written, characters are interesting and memorable. A++ series

Episode 6 was disappointingly splattered with an array of ridiculous moments. The show was great up until then.

I love this black and white version of this episode! Reminds me of Kurosawa and other Samurai films!

you know as cool as this is, it be more amazing if the only thing cutting through the grayscale is Mizu's blue eyes

This was such an amazing use of color, score, and folly. As much as I love the streamed EP 6, I think I love this one more. Maybe I love it more because I see how it accents the story, the intensity, and the visual storytelling, on top of what I knew already.

Pleeeeeease renew for season 2, this is the best show Netflix has made.
