This series is supposed to bridge the gap between the Survivor era and the Classic era, essentially retconning the Survivor Trilogy into a prequel to the Classic games.

All we need now is her classic outfit, gymnastics, fun, playful banter, and the dual pistols by the end of the series, and it'll be perfect!

It still looks like they are heavily pushing the survivor Lara timeline as opposed to the unified timelines they threw around. Although that was promised for the games so I can see what they are doing here. She even has the same ugly outfit from Shadow and her stupid bow. This ain't my Lara. God forbid we get a sexy, sassy, and confident Lara these days like she was before the survivor trilogy.

And this is why I prefer the other little trilogy they made where she was still somewhat classic.. ^^; Apparently people didn't like TR: Legend, but I loved it as a preteen.. It was my first Tomb Raider game. Along with the boring Anniversary reboot, tho the music was really nice... Like, the menu music. As for Underworld...? Eh, I liked it too, but it was almost a chore to finish.

@@rllgr3356 Yeah, I agree that the Legend games were good games. I think people didn't give it a chance because Crystal Dynamics became the new stepmom, so to speak. A number of people didn't want to give Crystal a chance to prove themselves because they were upset that Core Design was no longer making the games. Anyway, not all of Crystal's games were failures.

I don't like all the bow thing... I'm more of her dual pistols... Besides that, I think Atwell is a brilliant cast. Let's hope this will be a worthy Lara's return but I've got my doubts about it. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

How many shows now by that studio? Castlevania, Castlevania nocturne, , blood of Zeus, skull island.. he-man, now tomb raider. Even Witcher (vesimir one) and similarly dragon age seems to share the style and same character archetypes and acting, but Legend of Korra kind of started the trend, which evolved (or devolved in some ways) from last Airbender. Point is, it's kool can't wait to watch it, but the mold needs to break.

she had breast cancer on a woke level, they had to trim it down. hoping that her character is not a californian bitch.

Why the animation is so choppy? Feels like 15 fps animation, I know some studio do this for trend, but looks terrible and break the fluidity of action scenes. Agent carter for Lara Croft is a nice choice. I hope the story will good too.

I wish the animation was better.

This is far more 3rd iteration Tomb Raider/Lara Croft than it is the other 2 iterations. If anything, this looks more like a retelling of those 3 games from 2013 to Shadow. Anything that hints the previous two iterations, either the Original or the Legend ones, is rather small. Hell, i'm seeing more hints of Uncharted than i am anything other than the Survivor iteration. The most obvious hint is no sign of the iconic dual pistols. Just mainly the bow and arrow, which is Survivor's thing. (Shotgun is an all iterations thing regardless btw).

Maybe the average person can't tell, but I can really feel the difference in the movement when they don't keep the characters relatively proportionate or follow their arcs. Either they offshored production to india to cut costs on a beloved IP... or used AI to cut costs on a beloved IP. Just sad to see them do this to our girl : (

@@lilramennoodle8056 I always use to think that too when Rogue One and The Bad Batch became the 2 of my new favorite pieces of Star Wars media but the fandom however was always stuck in it's old elite ways as it always feels kinda overwhelming when that happens imo, that's also why I've almost felt like outgrowing my childhood of Star Wars like the original trilogy and the Clone Wars cartoon along with my 2 favorite guilty pleasures like the Rebels cartoon and Prequel trilogy at this point lol. "classic lara" fans are never happy. They were not happy for anything after TR revelation (the 4th game), and they barely liked that. "OG" lara fan couldn't bother to buy the OG games so i don't get it. For them Lara must be the equivalent of a female duke nukem. I liked the duke, when i was 8yo. OG lara was never too appealing to me. I prefer protagonist with a smidge of character progression. Lara never had any. She was already on top. That's some people's cup of tea. Not mine
