Nearly 63,and have set up Xbox 360,PS2,and GameCube.I have all my boys original games, including TR,Spyro,Crash,and can't choose what to play.Got really stuck on all TRs,but after watching these great videos, going to have a blast.🙂

I’m 64 and have played this game over and over. I still get lost 😠 But it introduced me to gaming many years ago and I’ve been playing ever since.👍

It's not too late, it's never too late 👌 and Lara is one of my favorite video game characters. From that classic playstation lineup of games back in the day

Kids have it easy these days, the puzzles in this game used to kick my ass when I was 10.

We have it better today, truth be told! We have all these new amazing games being released but also have the ability to go and play classics like Tomb Raider in even better graphics fidelity

Wow I remember playing this day one when it came out. My mom even let me take a day off of school to play it extra 😂… I was about 12 back then and now I’m not too far from 40! It’s insane how fast time goes by!

This game is so epic. I remember being 12 or so and having a fucking hard time at the "opera house" cause I wouldnt find where to go...

@@shanenice5380It’s funny because I think the Crystal Dynamics games suck. The difference between Angel of Darkness to Legend just tells you the company didn’t understand what Tomb Raider should be. She felt floaty etc. Angel of Darkness is fantastic and deserves the remaster treatment with all bugs ironed out

I was in 8th grade when this came out ☺️ I used to have a subscription to Game Informer magazine and one of their issues was a full walkthrough of the game. Once I was able to get it, that issue saved my sanity sooo many days whenever I got stuck somewhere! I didn’t have a memory card, so I would just pause the game and turn off the tv whenever we had to leave the house 😂 I was so mesmerized by this game and couldn’t play it enough. The music is so haunting and it was exciting to have different vehicles! I feel like a kid again 😭

Goodness this takes me all the way back to 15, sitting in my living room, my 2 brothers and me fighting over the playstation time, and then eventually all helping each other with this game. Such great memories.

My late brother was your age then (15), i was 9 other brother was 12. The best times ever

IMO low key one of the most influential games. The different locations, different costumes, oth human and animal enemies, the gameplay mechanics (climbing, jumping, swimming, puzzle solving, action, using vehicles, etc.) are drawn from even today in games like Uncharted, orr any similar adventure third-person game. Tomb Raider started it, but Tomb Raider 3 took it to another level. The graphics look clunky now, but you see how this is basically a bluepring for all similar adventure/action games that came afterwards.

me and my 17yr old son (rip) used to play this every night after coming home from 2nd shift work. we would play tr1,2 and 3 for mnths at a time. he worked nights at a local pizza shop and me at the hospital. GREAT MEMORIES

I never collected the 3rd key on the wreck of the maria Doria. Just pulled the block through the flames and used a couple large medkits lol

Tomb raider 2 will always have a special place in my heart, thanks for the gameplay!

I wish they'd remake all these for the newer systems. I'd love to play them.

Let’s be real, we don’t want a remake of the Core Design games because Crystal Dynamics will butcher it beyond recognition. You think Angel of Darkness is bad? Bruh… go play the 2013 reboot Tomb Raider games, they are nothing but Uncharted clones. Angel of Darkness will forever be my favourite TR game and I don’t care what you haters say

I second that. The London and Nevada levels on TR3 are the best. My only gripe is how dark they made the levels, and no matter how much you turn the brightness up on the tv, it's still hard to see things.

So many lost memories. Ty for the upload!

The good old days. I've never had the chance to play it but watching it does something in my heart. I laughed at 14:10 lol

I am getting nostalgic too!!!! I use to play this 1999, when I was lonely and sad in Gera (South East Germany), and it always cheered me up!

I think the reason why the inventory was upside down in the level of "Wreck of Maria Doria" is to reflect the ship is upside down, therefore, making the inventory upside down aswell.

Before you slide down on the cable there's a part of the level where you go down into the valley below. Then you have to fight a Tyrannosaurus Rex

I remember the graphics looking so amazing back then compared to the other games I played as a wee little child, like Spyro the Dragon and Croc 2 for PS1...

We need a Tomb Raider 2 remake!!!

I’m 65. I just now started playing games again since my nephew had me try his Quest 2. This was my favorite game on original PS. I hope they can make a Tomb Raider on Quest 3 which I’m loving. Playing Resident Evil 4 and it’s so cool.

Watching this video makes me remember how great this game was from beginning to end and how every map is pristinely designed. Having said that, this is unquestionably an early 3D experience. You really have to be in the right mindset to play and enjoy this currently. I don't know how I beat this game back in the day. I'm an above average gamer, but I also get frustrated easy lol.

I remember playing this as a kid, also remember that i never finished it. Thanks for showing the whole game, brought back some memories for sure.

pure nostaligia! i used to play this for in my childhood for long hours

Just watching it gives me the chills, as though when I played it. Wreck of the Maria Doria had me shaking literally when I had to get the key to avoid the sharks. Had to jam to some music to calm down 😂😂😂😂😂😂.

I would play this game for hours back in the day.

They're the best. The Crystal Dynamics games... not so much. Legend was good, Anniversary was a pretty mediocre remake of TR1, and Underworld was alright. However, the 2013 reboot and sequels are not Tomb Raider

Loved this game to shreds in 2009 I was 6 i would get home straight to the ps1 and play😅 to bad I’m not a kid anymore

Light up the flare, walk forward and backward, turn 3 rounds and jump forward!

All the Core Design Tomb Raider games hold up extremely well. Angel of Darkness is my favourite tho, just play the definitive edition and you’re good

I loved when this came out in late 1997. I couldnt stand the Temple Of Xian level cos of my fear of spiders and dunno how i got through the section with my eyes closed!

My first game in my first pc. What a lovely days thise days ❤

40 Fathoms is my nightmare level and I believe it’s what started my *irrational* fear of water in video games…Jak and Daxter didn’t help with the mini shark fish thing…I panic in all deep water in video games…

Why does it take 10 shots to kill a spider. I’m very pleased with how far we’ve come with the realistic view of life incorporated into games current day.

I agree those pistols were ridiculously weak. I used my shotgun whenever I had ammo for it.

@@danielorr7124 I seem to remember using pistols until halfway through Italy then sticking with automatic pistols until Tibet then switching to Uzis and M16. I don't remember ever finding much use for the shotgun as it was so slow and ammo was so rare, and if you found all the secrets then Lara would have ammo for power weapons coming out her knickers.

still one of the best OG Tomb raider , with the first , although it didnt have aged well, and the third.

2:58 It took me a couple of times to realize I could fight with the monestary guys, and not against them. I would just shoot everybody here😆. The floating islands was so creepy to me. 4:18:48

@Straightjacket I just use mine for TR1,2,3,4 which are all PS1 games. Don't know if it's possible to play PS2 games but I don't think it is on most PS3 models

@@danielorr7124 no, t-rex was in a small valley of zip line area at level 1 Greatwall. You can find the way down by dropping the left corner of zip line
