Indeed. Why does it sound like he's doing rudiments in this video but on the album it sounds like he's just doing single strokes with each hand? Maybe it just sounds different without the guitar riff.

@@p_s_hoffman8772 I would guess that it came from the translation to cubase, leaving out the rolls or ghost notes, programming in more of a single stroke style. I guess thomas liked that better than the initial idea.

All I'm hoping is that their next album sounds different in a very obvious and immediate way. Not big on having to "think" about what's different. Hoping for a Chaosphere-to-Nothing leap in style, maybe even farther.

YanusDV I just wanna hear more "ear cookies" in their tracks, just so it doesn't get too repetitive. I'd like it if Thomas used a wider range of cymbals, not just "this is a bag of cans, I use it as a crash" and what not. I also wanna hear more of Fredrik's Special Defects style playing in it, rather than just the 'random tapping' thing over and over.
