I’m independent and I definitely research , I also watch different views in the news .

The last verse is what this song is all about. NO president cares about you...PERIOD. Its sad but true. I also don't care what a president's child does, those are not the leaders sins. As a mom we can raise our kids 95% right and they are still their own people and are going to make mistakes regardless. I am a 54 yr old white woman and know Tom is quite "right" leaning while I am a bit more "left" but to be honest I'm pretty much 50/50 - still LOVE TOM regardless. That is why Bobby Kennedy, Jr. has my vote. His views check off almost all my boxes. And he doesn't care about crossing political lines. Does he care about ME? No - but I will not blindly vote red or blue. They are both horrible. You guys are the only channel I have come across that doesn't throw your views into the reaction and actually GOT THE MEANING of the song. Kudos to you. New subscriber because of this.

Actually, Tom is very Independent ( like myself) he sees things from BOTH sides. I vote for who I think has better policies NOT by my feelings like most people on the left do. I used to be a Democrat, but as I got older I realized I definitely didn't support a lot of what they stand for and the same with the right side too. The best thing is to be informed about both sides. That is what Tom does.

He may not "label" himself a republican or conservative but he is definitely pretty conservative (and that is fine) if you listen to his shorts. You can't say things like he says regarding gender and other issues and not be expected to be labeled. If you said it, you said it. Just own it. I respect it either way. Makes no difference to me. Still love the guy and he spits facts. The red votes on feeling also. I think to some extent we all do because we are human.

There is no such thing as separation of church and state. That was a letter to Thomas Jefferson from the Danbury Baptist Church that was answered by him in a paper. Where he stated there was not a need to worry because the constitution held that the government could establish a specific religion for the whole country it had nothing to do with with the practice of people of different faiths doing so in a government setting. However here’s where I add opinion. If our founders had seen that we would stray as far from our Christian morals and the morals of nature. They may have enshrined a stronger foundation to the Christian religion or the morals that guide that religion at the time. But that would be hindsight and of course could not be seen. There is no separation of church and state in the constitution. HOG fam. Still a great reaction.

It would be great if we could find middle ground on issues, but where's the middle ground? Abortion was limited to rape, insest & health issues of the mother, but look at it now, abortion on demand. Firearms, we've tried all kinds of regulations, it lead to disarming felons & mentally ill, & now it's leading to disarming everyone. LGBQ, issues went from stop hating them & attacking them, to making them a special class of citizens. Even taxation there's no middle ground When has politics ever been polite? Shit back in the day they would have duals over this stuff. But what is the fight really about? To me it's a 248 yr old fight going on, over what out country should be. Should it be more like Great Britain & Europe or should it be as the founding fathers envisioned, where government is instituted amongst men, to secure our freedoms?
