Technically this is the 7th pilots album, Regional at Best came right after self titled but they got signed right after they started putting it out and ended up scrapping it. Some RAB songs were used on Vessel.
The lyrics are "I hope I can satiate the craving". And the lyric you are talking about from another song is called Saturday from Scaled And Icy. Tyler was actually the one saying "I wanna watch friends with you" Jenna says "Well if you have time to do a song or you're inspired, you should just go for it". For me this music video has two meanings. It can go for both them working so hard on Scaled and Icy and it kind of not being a hit and it can refer to a relationship. How you put so much effort into it and then just for the relationship not to work out.
Tyler said that Josh is the reason this song made the album. Love this one. There are no skips on this album. Great reaction 💜💜

The final presentation of the "shot" had a blurred out light blue dragon in the background and to the right. This MV is about how the boys worked their asses off on SAI (Scaled and Icy,) in isolation from each other (COVID) only to give their shot to the industry and have it unceremoniously declared a miss.
Yes, basically some fans didn't care/like it, and the music industry couldn't care less about it either which sucks, that album has some great songs.

I think you're mistaken, there are multiple directors and engineers and producers, Mark is just the main one, maybe not a whole lot yeah, but Tyler did mentioned them on the stream
the bullet in the MV is a metaphor for their Previous album "Scaled and Icy: that they worked really hard on. And the men in suits are probably the music industry or the general population who thought they're last album was a "miss"

The miss is a metaphor for the reaction to the last album maybe. They put all their heart and soul in to creating it and the critics and some ‘fans’. crapped all over it. ‘Saturday’ is the song with Jenna’s voice. BTW … Jenna’s version is 💯🥹. Enjoying your reactions my Dudes! I just turned 53. Love this band and go to the pit for their shows with my adult daughter. Seeing them in Columbus for a hometown show in October. Also learning to play drums because Josh is AMAZING to watch live.

:) they confirmed in the livestream that Bandito Josh has been guiding him the whole time. So the Josh we've seen during SAI and up until now, hasn't been real. Its just been Bandito Josh guiding, which is so perfect for this song. Im suprised Tyler almost cut this one from the record

Tyler gave Josh the name "Torchbearer" for this story he created. Having that darkness in you and going so far as to immortalize your friend as your torchbearer...imagine. Just thinking about it gets me a little emotional.

They did a video in the past for the song My Blood with the same theme of a person who is a support for the protagonist actually just being in his imagination. At the very end of this video the beginning of My Blood plays, linking the two videos.
