this is a good version too. I was sorprised when i herad it. I think he performs it in this way because, probably, his voice is not the same as in his 30ties. but it sounds lovely. An he is fantastic.

You should look up Tom jones solo and duet performances as a coach on the voice UK. You will change your mind . He’s awesome. His voice is strong and beautiful. This could have been the quality of the video. He also has two bad hips which is why he looks so stiff. He eventually had them both replaced

@@vwannop11 I saw him live at the troubadour in LA maybe 5 - 7 yrs ago. The boom was there but high notes were not; it was ok. What I did like was his performance with Rhiannon Giddens on Jools in UK. He could just boom and she provided the nuance. Curiously I also saw Glen Campbell in his last tour. He wasn't quite there mentally but his voice had aged in a way that gave it tons of character. You can hear that in the music video of "These Days" that they made for him in that period or in the song "Adios." Oh, edit: the best old Glen recording is his duet "When I Stop Dreaming." Tell me what you think if you look it up--its on KZread. I also think Willie Nelson still sounds more or less like Willie. He had his 90th birthday party here at Hollywood Bowl and there were some remarkable moments. As for the songs Tom has done on the Voice, I have to wonder if they are subtly pitch correcting him with software. Horribly these singing shows have been adding pitch correction at times. Bless Tom for going out there. Johnny Mathis is still giving concerts and comments on KZread are very kind but I wouldn't want to have paid for those tickets.

People came to hears his greatest hits but to my surprise he only sang a few the rest were songs that I've never heard

He's always discovering new music. There's some I've never heard before either. He's still doing what he loves an that's is gift of singing. A song can lift your spirits or bring memories flooding back to oneself.❤😊
