The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

As a child in the 80’s, I grew up listening to music of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s... it was my father’s love of music that I took most from him.. he just passed away on sept 18. I might not be able to talk to him anymore but his music speaks to my soul...

I really hope someone either changes the words to this extremely violent song and inappropriate song or the song be banned altogether: The song is about a man killing the woman whom he loves, but she is with another man. So he spies on her, and after the man leaves, he goes to her house. she opens the door laughing and he kills her with the knife in his hand.... Should we really promote this song with the existing lyrics???

Back in the day when he had his TV show, a girl a little older than me, maybe 12 or 13, said she didn't like Tom Jones because he was short. She said he stood on some platform to make himself look taller than he was. I was disappointed a cool older girl like her didn't like him and was rather embarrassed I was just a dumb nine year old and not being a cool teen saying I liked his show and songs before hearing her disapproval of him. He looked normal size to me. But she's With It and knows best. Aah, summer vacations 1967 & 1968 Matinicus Island Maine!

One of the greatest live performances ever-the singing and the band. It’s all stunning. Came across this a couple of days ago and I am floored. The energy and enthusiasm of all of them-Tom Jones, the orchestra and the conductor are beyond crazy. This is truly a special performance and we’re fortunate that it’s up here. @@dianeschabath6118 wow that is amazing! Thank you.
This is my favorite video of Tom Jones singing anything. The fact that it is live, with a superb orchestra, is fantastic.

Probably the greatest live vocal performance in the history of television. Great vocal by Tom Jones and tremendous backing by Ray Bloch and part of his orchestra.

There's no way now to accompany a singer like this with a small band. Without that grand setting, he would always have to conserve his voice. Only the orchestral arrangement would support it properly. This is one reason we don't hear voices like this in popular music nowadays.
No one up to date can come closer to this voice. Legendary of legends. Super.
This song is immaculate!! I love this song. My father's generation. I remember this when i was little. He would play it constantly. I learned to love this and appreciate it! ❤❤❤❤

Hello amazing fan. Thank you for your beautiful comment. I’ve seen a whole lot of “RIP” attached to my name all over the internet. This is the reason I decided to debunk this false new of my demise. Late Ton Jones was the one who conceived the twist on Romeo and Juliet with composer, John Donald Robb. He died on the 11th of August of cancer in his home in Sharon. Please disregard all the false publications on the internet.I’m still alive and much healthy. Thank you beloved fan. For further clarification,I added my personal mailing address on the description and on the Channel banner. Thank you so much, may you have a beautiful day ahead🙏🙏.
I would be very pissed right now if I was a singer because this is unbelievable voice, power and control
