@@dianefiske-foy4717 This song came out in 1967, I still have the LP, I was 18 then, I am now 75, I would like to go back to 1967 with my then age of 18 and start all over again, not go back to 1967 at my now age of 75, get it? If you go back in time with the NOW age, it defeats the purpose of a Time Machine. Watch the movie The Time Machine, the original 1960 movie with Rod Taylor, you will love it, best regards to you sweetie, from the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago, ciao! PS, wish you the best!

@@dc10fomin65 … That’s exactly what I wrote about our age would have to go back too. I wouldn’t want to go back as far as 1967 though, because I was only 14 years old then. Maybe go back to ‘69 when I was 15 with my age going back to 15 too. And also know what I know now about life. That would be great because I could start over from that age and change some things. Oh. And I did see the movie “Time Machine”, a few times over the years.

I saw Mr Jones a few months ago in Tollwood Munich and he was so lovely his voice is as great as ever. I did miss so much all those love songs though, he didnt sing them and for me who waited 50 years to see him perform i was disappointed ..

The thing about this classic, and the way Tom performs is, is that it paints such a vivid picture: You can almost see him stepping off the train and all the family waiting for him, then the old house with its cracked paint, the old oak tree, the beautiful Mary, and even the sad old padre (lol), walking with him to meet the hangman, and all the family gathered together as they lay him beneath the green green grass of home😔....Great lyrics and superb performance - It had to be a timeless hit!👍

He died 11th August, of cancer in his home in Sharon. I’m still alive and much healthy. Thanks dear fan..

My country, Myanmar, was under military dictatorship since 1962, except for last 10 years. A lot of people were tried to opposed to dictatorship and were arrested. A young college student was sentenced to death in 1976 since he opposed the dictatorship. His last wish is to listen this song. This is how I came to know this song and it made me cry. Now Myanmar was under military dictatorship again and four people were sentenced to death again. Please pray for us.

Hello amazing fan. It has come to my notice that some of my fans thinks I was the person who died. Late jones was The one who conceived the twist on Romeo and Juliet with composer John Donald Robb. He died 11th August, of cancer in his home in Sharon. I’m still alive and much healthy. Thanks dear fan..
I love this song for years and I still love this song it’s a beautiful thing I hope here until I die

My country, Myanmar, was under military dictatorship since 1962, except for last 10 years. A lot of people were tried to opposed to dictatorship and were arrested. A young college student was sentenced to death in 1976 since he opposed the dictatorship. His last wish is to listen this song. This is how I came to know this song and it made me cry. Now Myanmar was under military dictatorship again and four people were sentenced to death again. Please pray for us.
