@@polmin5rio693I have this and the Schott B-3 AND the Cockpit USA “Spitfire” which is the same American style B3 as the Schott version. Cockpit and Schott are very close in build quality. I am a HUGE Schott fan and have 12 jackets from them. I actually find the seams on the Cockpit versions to be a bit better and more refined. I like the Cockpit shearling finish better. I love the zippered cuffs on the RAF. I actually didn’t think I would, originally. But the jackets are so warm that unzipping and cuffing that big shearling sleeve to expose the forearms allows wearing the jacket in slightly more moderate temps than the fully enclosed models. For reference on temps, I was on a camping trip last October and took this jacket. It was down into the low 40’s/high 30’s (F) over night… and as everyone was huddled around the campfire to keep warm at night, I was wearing this jacket with just a thin t shirt, unzipped, cuffs unzipped, and keeping a good 10-15 feet distance from the fire to regulate a “comfortable” temp. This really made me fall in love with the jacket. When I went to my tent for the night, I took the jacket off and used it as a top blanket with the soft shearling keeping me comfortable. The are expensive but so, so worth it if you can pull off the style.

I just pulled the trigger after finding one of these genuine shearling bomber jackets for $780. Pricey but SO worth it!

I thought this was Aero Leather Company, UK (as they supplied a jacket for Tom Hardy in the film Dunkirk by Christopher Nolan), but that Cockpit, US version is also divine and now on my shortlist ha ha!

@@velvetchiharu Yeah, Aero Leather, alongside another famous UK jacket maker, Wested Leathers, are both known for making jackets for the film industry (especially for actors working at Pinewood Studios), and are amongst some of the best jacket makers in the world too. They are expensive, but no way near as some other brands like Tom Ford, Double RRL, or Brunello Cucinelli (amongst other brands); they all make beautiful leather jackets, but both Aero and Wested can directly compete in sheer quality, designs, and workmanship, plus are true British made products. ACNE and Y2, as well as another famous US based bespoke leather jacket maker, Atelier Savas, make amazingly designed jackets too. We are truly spoiled for choice 😂

Sleeves fit well until the second pic where they’re a tad long.

If I buy this jacket did come with Tom Hardy or not ❤

Shearling jackets have been around for literally thousands of years and there are at least hundreds of quality makers. Buy one but don’t buy a cheap one get genuine leather

The one I got from ebay is real leather and fur. I actually had to fix the sheep smell. The only difference is it's made in Pakistan not Iowa. But the quality is on point. @@Bor4enceto

I use to like these kind of jackets, years back, without a logical explanation. But my view on it now is very different 🤔 i guess if you live in Siberia or somewhere if you have 6 months of harsh winter... ok, i guess. But if you live in a moderate clima, you spend that kind of money to were it maybe 1 month per year if that... half of bear 🤕 my head akes, sorry! Since when wearing half of bear on your back, contrasted by wearing a t-shirt under because is too hot, wich make you big on your upper body with some jeans throwing your proportions off comparebly because your legs will be too skinny carring that jacket. Pilots were that for a reason, they were in a cold metalic object up in the sky they needed that to keep warm, you won't need that to go to your job in a heated building in your heated car. 😕 "but i like the rugged look" you say 🤔 well is your personality like that? In what modern enviroment can you afford to be rugged?! 😩 if you are a lumberman up in some nordic mountains, go for it!
