The last 20 minutes was just everyone collectively feeling bad for Sammy. Bloody hell, the Poker Gods were against him. But Tom played exactly how he should have, and was humble at the end as always.

"There's not many people that i play poker against that i actually like and you're one of them, and i dont feel okay playing you when i think you're really tilted." "I'm happy obviously, i ran good, i got really, really lucky" Damn my respect for durrrr just sky high. Good plays and nice luck, but more importantly nice attitude.

this entire 7-2 moment is epic. from start to finish

Dwan ran pretty well but that doesn't negate the fact that Sam had a handful of chances to snap him off for huge pots.

Sammy has absolutely NO idea where he's at in just about every hand ... and Tom takes full advantage of it

@@whoshotya117 In a lot of hands he doesn't seem to have any idea of how strong or weak his hands are, which you can get information on based on the action you are getting. I think Dwan really got into his head with his aggressive play though.

Dwan being pretty humble in victory because he did get some lucky draws, but he also made some amazing bluffs with bad hands, and that's where he shines. He earned the win.

Sammy played absolutely horrible. Cant let Dwan bluff 90% hands and keep folding 2 pair and top pair. Dwan schooled him.

This is a perfect example of how fate follows the victor. If you’re owning a guy this bad fate shows no sympathy, it follows strength. Never the other way around. If you’re hoping fate will save you, you will always be let down. Fate wins, every single time it decides to play. Sammy got lost in his own head at the outset and Durrr knew it. Fate is a bandwagoner. I wasn’t surprised at all at that back to back set beat on the river.

Imagine being one of the best poker players of all time and running lucky on top of it - thats Tom Dwan. Hes very fun to watch because he has a very good attitude about all of it. Keep rockin it steady Tom.

It's not that he keeps getting lucky by hitting the right cards, it's his ability to read what his opponent has correctly and then maximise value. I know it's popular to not give him credit, but he is truly one of the best to ever play.

i agree, because dwan is consistently winning big. plays any hand, and maximizes value of strong hands due to frequent bluffs. he gets folds when bluffing, and gets calls when has monsters.he might be the greatest off all time

If there's anyway you could get some earlier poker matches from Poker After Dark with great hands like Tom vs Esfandiari playing 77s vs QQs set over set where tome rivers a Queen and other great hands from poker after dark that I don't see on KZread anymore whould be awesome! @@Lymbe06 if you think thats an easy call for not only what was at stake but for the action given by durr, you're delusional. He raised preflop, c-bet, and he called your flop raise. He's representing a flush and he continued to for the rest of the hand. We don't have any heart blockers and he has all heart combos above 9-10h and sometimes even lower heart combos. We only have a bluff catcher. He has very little realistic bluffs outside stone cold bluffs. No one should call this an easy call unless you have an opponent that overbluffs 3 streets often

Holy hell this was an insane match. I though Sammy played well and kept running into it, but Tom just steamrolled him at the right time!

Lucky- 2 different ways of fighting in Tom he challenges to see what the other side has, and if the other side can win. so Tom's fighting style prevails.

Toms 7-2 Hand. This guy Sammy is playing with SCARED MONEY from the Gecko. Tom put him on an Ace but not 2 pair and was praying for a heart. By the river when the 3 came and not a heart and Sammy checked he knew Sammy didnt have a flush. Tom knew the only way to win was to bluff. Very few players will call 360k with only 1 pair. Sammy should have bet the river because checking against a guy like Dwan is fatal. Tom's image and style of play was also very helpful.

@@yehchuck yes mate, it's one of the most hated things u can do in Poker, I play in a local pub league, and someone was caught keeping chips in their pocket,and adding to their stack during the tournaments They were instantly banned for life, Wonder if this had been noticed by any of the top players or reported to anyoen

Not sure if he was just so tilted because Dwan outplayed him and also got massively lucky a couple of times, and made a snap decision to cheat. Or if this is something he does whenever a decent opportunity presents itself.

At 36:00 I think Sammy should have called... even though it would have been wrong, you have to call the big bet on the river sometimes and he has blockers to the nuts... a good player would call there in my opinion. Even though on this occasion it would have been wrong, the correct play is call imo.
