Once in a lifetime, a singer comes along, that cannot be defined or classified as mainstream. His pitch, and tone, is something truly remarkable. What a privilege, it is to hear you sing. Instant lifelong fan.

Once in a while you hear a performance that you keep listening back to on repeat, the is one of those! Mesmerising and 100% should have won the show, pure raw talent 🙏🏼

To be honest, the Got Talent shows have seen lots of people with vocal ranges much wider. And a surprising amount of people in general have a large vocal range, just statistically speaking. So I'm not sure that his range in specific should have won him the show. His singing though, is certainly out of this world.

This is officially my most favourite BGT act.

Honestly I can’t stop relistening to this performers: there’s just something so uniquely striking about it. I didn’t even know this song but after listening to other versions, this is by far my favourite interpretation. So much feeling, emotion, musical and stage dominance and impressive vocal range and talent. How he did not win, I shall never understand. But he should definitely be picked up by the West End or similar after this. Guaranteed.

Outrageous how he didn’t win, clear winner, the judges reactions say it all

From 1:30 till the end, he takes the song to another celestial level, it's like he transformed to another gigantic creature. I can't stop replaying this performance, and that final paramount moment is progressively bringing me to tears. He secured a place amongst the giants with this performance.....well done Tom, you smashed it !!!

Totally agree! Loren was already a professional singer with years of experience, go look at her youtube channel. Simon was wrong.... Tom is not just a teacher with an incredible voice, he is a humble man with the most incredible voice I've ever heard! You are the winner Tom! Bravo!

Oh yeah, he's much better in Loren. Yes loren was really really good and it was shocking, but this performance so not only groundbreaking and historic in BGT, but the song gave such a powerful feeling that it's better than everyone else performance by far.

And axel was also the one act tonight who didn’t *need* the win because he’s already established, the exposure from being in the final was all he needed from the show really, when any of the other acts (particularly Tom, maxwell or jamie) really deserved to be the winner. I was shocked tom didn’t win after this performance! It floored us all here!

How did Tom not win? I just don’t understand this! Tom took a massive risk with this song and he absolutely nailed it! If anything… his performance shows his range, his versatility when it comes to music too. He is seriously talented, but lost out to an already established comedian. That is something to be proud of Tom even though you didn’t get the break you deserved, you will always be a winner in the eyes of many thousands of viewers. This was pure masterclass. With that performance, Tom could easily be the leading cast member in the premier of a show at West End or Broadway, and I wouldn’t question it. I know singers have an advantage in competitions, versus a comedian, due to the emotions singers can elicit. But comedians tap one emotion, laughter. You better be top 2-3 comedians in the world to win a competition over this level of singing. I am happy for Axel and well deserved. I would pay to see him perform, but I would pay 3x the amount to see Tom Ball perform. I hope Tom follows the typical course of these talent shows by not being the winner and go on to an amazing career.

I haven't watch BGT this year, but came through to the room where my wife was watching this when I heard the opening few lines and had to have a look. Says a lot when he stopped me in my tracks to listen, what a fantastic and poweful voice. Looked at a few VTs since and he seems like a nice bloke. Good luck to him he'll go far.
