I watched it this morning and made sure I stayed well clear of any mma news feeds beforehand. The one thing that made me a little nervous for Tom was when I saw the reach advantage that Sergei had.. 84" vs 78". Sergei must have arms like a gibbon as well as brutal KO power and technical boxing. It was a fight I could see going either way and there was no way it going the distance. I'm very chuffed that Tom got the win.

Exactly. I've been called a casual saying he'd beat Jones for two years already. But Jones will never prove me right or wrong, because he knows it's true and is never fighting Aspinall. I always said this guy will be champ. From the first fight I ever watched of him I was just in disbelief. He's like a literal cheat code. Normally every fighter has a weakness, even Jones himself does (no power). There's always a lack of speed, power, durability, cardio, or one type of skill. But Aspinall just doesn't seem to have it. He hits like Ngannou, is twice as fast as Gane, is the greatest technical striker at 265 and arguably the UFC, and has been training world class grappling for literally two decades and can take down and submit guys like Volkov and Arlovski in literal seconds while effortlessly stuffing bears like Spivac. I just don't understand it. Aspinall is a straight up cheat code. Unfair for the rest of the division. He beats the best grapplers and wrestlers in grappling and wrestling, and kills the most dangerous striker on the feet in a minute on short notice. Un fucking believable.
