My cousin gave me the GameCube version and I remember playing it a bit and didn’t get very far but I wasn’t all that interested until I finished reading the book when I was in 5th grade.

John, I love love love this game! This game is what got me into Lord of the rings. I read the Hobbit book a couple of years after playing the game in middle school. The game is adapted way better than the live action film and I was so excited and pleasantly surprised how close the game is to the actual book 👍

I was also pleasantly surprised. I had a copy of it sitting around that I never got to and quite forgot about until someone mentioned it to me on twitch, and I was filled with the urge to try it out.

This was my first game on PS2 back in 2004, I got it together with the console for my 8th bday. And as I'm typing this comment the soundtrack started... ah, the nostalgia hits so much in this one. I started reading the Hobbit because I in my childish mind thought it could help me out with the game itself, after that I was hooked with the rest of the legenderium before I could even finish the game.

That's a great story, I actually think this hand is pretty fun, way better than the last one I played.
