Tokyo, Japan: I was not expecting to change in this way.

Every day I walk the streets of Tokyo, I feel inspired to keep pushing forward with my dreams. This environment motivates me to become the best version of myself, and I know that this is only the beginning.

    One thing I can say about the culture in the land of the rising sun, they exalt their fullest expression in every human activity. The manner in which they serve food, so very gracious in their hospitality, the cleanliness, orderliness in public transportation and basic business operations, the museums and art culture STELLAR. I wish you all the absolute best in your journey Misako-san, thank you, infinite blessings.

    This video is so beautiful. While I was working at a café in Osaka yesterday (the café I’ve made a part of my daily routine), I came to the same realization that Japan is the country I will spend most of my time in every year. The way things shifted for me immediately when I landed. I spent a month in Vietnam, could not leave the bed. It was the STRANGEST thing. My husband experienced the same thing. No matter how much we slept the night before, we just couldn’t get up or get anything done. Like the energy of the place completely depleted us and made us irritable. We kept extending our stay there saying ok maybe it will get better and it never did. We decided one night to book a ticket to Japan and 2 days later we got on the plane at 1am to head here. The minute I landed in Japan, my body naturally woke up at 4:30-5am (this NEVER happened to me before). I look forward to creating daily and going to the café to work on client work. I look forward to just getting outside and walking and just observing. I started to enjoy creating again. I started to plan social media posts after giving up on it years ago. We’ve been travelling full-time for 4 years and this is the first place that has ever made us feel this way. It’s mind-blowing. It’s almost like we are in our prime! And this is no shade to Vietnam. It is a beautiful country. It’s more an understanding of what I feel in Vietnam, someone else may feel in Japan and what I feel in Japan, someone else may feel in Vietnam. The important thing is feeling a place for yourself and listening to that inner voice of what aligns and don’t align with YOU specifically.

    I wish you could see the smile on my face as I'm reading your story! I am so, SO deeply happy to know that you both feel this way. I haven't been to Vietnam yet, but I resonate with everything you're saying about Japan! Even waking up at 4:30 am! I thought that would fade, but it hasn't! I completely agree with what you've said: "The important thing is feeling a place for yourself and listening to that inner voice of what aligns and doesn’t align with YOU specifically." You're 10000% right. I'm so glad that you've fallen back in love with creating and have found a routine that inspires and energizes you in Osaka. I'm so excited for you both, and I am rooting for you guys as well! I just subscribed and can't wait to see Osaka through both of your eyes! Sending love from Tokyo 🫶🏽

    First of all: THANK YOU! Your videos are just so amazing. You are actually influencing me in a very good way. I actually have forwarded your channel to this guy, living in the USA, that is totally lost in his ways. He feels people are fake and the USA is so violent. He feels that he does not fit in. So send him a link from your channel, so he sees there are other places in the world that might be more fitting for him. But not only this, but your calmness and great words inspire me to do more. I am a 50-year-old Dutch guy living in Berlin Germany, and I just lost my job after 16 years, and I am trying to see what to do now. Your videos are doing positive things in my life. That scene with the beetle and the older Japanese lady brought tears to my eyes( Yes, I am a crier) These little things, are actually so big. Appreciating a beautiful jade colored beetle . Thank you so much, Enjoy making more videos, and thank you for taking us all on your journey. Greetings from Berlin 😀

    If there ever was a video on KZread that I relate to, it is this one! I lived in Japan. It had changed my life, and has stayed with me through different struggles, and up and downs. For the past few years I have really zoned in of lifelong dreams of what I have always wanted to do and think about what I bring to the world. How do I want to give back? I have known for a while now, but never implemented the plan….until now. I have always had these goals in my head, but never acted on them. It is also important to live the life you deserve! And now have now taking my plans into action. My mental and mindset has shifted. I have always gave a 110 percent into everything I do….but WHAT YOU DO is what makes the difference. So I am moving back to Japan and following my dreams, and my heart, because “Life is short and the world is wide”. It’s not what the world holds for you, it’s what you bring to it”. But is important to make sure that you are in an environment that will help you flourish, help you thrive. Japan is that place for me, it always will be. ❤

    I never been to Tokyo ! It looks soo cool ! The interaction in the beginning was cute ! This video popped up on my homepage randomly ! Last year I traveled out of the country for the first time (ended up going to London twice) and what I noticed is when I am back in the states (ATL) I feel more tense and even no urge to get out like that (except for the gym and errands (including my maintenance appointments like nails and etc)). When I was in Europe I was a lot more relaxed and willing to step out of my comfort zone more ! Plus I felt the urge to learn a new language (French for my Paris visit this year) and even started seeing myself explore more. It is weird but cool how one trip made me feel DIFFERENT ! I think I was always nervous to travel as a black woman, but I really had a good experience ! I do need to visit Tokyo one day !

Going to go there no knowing anyone the most scared and nervous I felt but been avoiding it due to my own self doubt as a black women... I do not know if you just want to visit short term or long term but if your trying to find an easier path into Japan and ALT is the best option.. pay will not be very high but with rent less then 500 USD i believe its worth the risk

    There is a reason why Japan is a comfortable place for people all over the world. When the Creator created the Earth and created the land, he first conducted various experiments on a small island so that humans could thrive in nature. If something was missing, he dropped meteorites to fill it in, and spread the successful environment to all landmasses. In other words, it is because Japan was the template. Japan has everything. Therefore, what happens in Japan also happens in the world, and what happens in the world also leads to Japan. This applies not only to the material world, but also to the spiritual world.

    That's a delusion. The truth is that what happens in the world remains in Japan. Japan is a place where losers from all over the world end up. In the past, many fallen Chinese dynasties ended up here. Right now, the whole world is a loser.

Also, you’re the first person I ever heard talk about astrocartography and since then I put my husband on and we love learning all about it! I’m curious if you have certain lines that make it feel more natural for you to access that 100% there in Japan! Either way, I’m so happy for you to be really stepping into that higher version of yourself with confidence and creativity! Our environment can significantly shape our inner worlds and it’s so important to be somewhere that supports you in becoming the version that you want to be!💕✨🥳

    Hey Misako, I wanted to say that I admire this move your making. It takes bravery and willingness to change and grow. I'm not sure if you mentioned it in your last video but were you "trained" for the copywriter position? And if not, what helps you find the client's voice when writing for them?

  • @MisakoEnvela

    @MisakoEnvela

    Ай бұрын

    Hi Camille! Thank you so much for your affirming words. I really appreciate this comment! I studied fashion marketing, and we briefly talked about social media copywriting, but I wasn't officially trained. When I got my first job (10 years ago), being a social media copywriter wasn't as competitive as it is now. My roommate actually found this job on Craigslist hahaha. So, I taught myself how to do it through my personal social media work. When it came time for the assessment at my first job interview, I studied the company's voice by reading their captions, KZread video descriptions, website copy, etc., and I wrote as if I were writing from that perspective. My first boss was gracious enough to teach me a lot, and with each position, I just learned more and more! It also helped that many of the copywriting positions I had were in a style similar to the way I already write-very casual, funny, light-hearted, and nothing too technical. I've only done copywriting for entertainment-focused, consumer-facing brands. This made it easier for me because I was writing about things I already consumed. If that makes sense? I would never hear back from social media jobs that weren't in entertainment, to be honest. I would say, for the most part, especially if you're looking to work with start-ups (like the first agency I worked for), the most important thing they care about is that you can DO the job. As long as you can show that you can do it through your personal social media, newsletters, blog, etc., do not hold yourself back from applying. There are also lots of online classes we can take these days. I recommend General Assembly if you're looking! I hope this was helpful!!

    The music became SO dramatic and beautiful toward the end when you were making your final points, i kinda loved it! 🩵 To answer your question, I moved a lot as a teenager and even now as an adult. I think every state/city I moved to in America made me realize how independent and adaptable I can be. I was very timid as a child so being able to step out into the world in a new city with confidence was big for me. I recently binged your Japan series and it was very timely for me because I just moved again because of family and got a promotion at my job. Moving overseas, to Japan or another country, is one of my biggest dreams and I feel it's closer than it was before! You've inspired me again to look forward to achieving it ✨
