Making a joke on the song isn't insulting the song at all, it's just making it more relatable or making a talking point. It would be one thing if the joke was disrespectful but it's not.

What gets me the most in this song is that, despite her practically-perfect vocal control (holy shit those high notes), I can still hear the emotion in every word she sings. ok. So this is the only cover I have seen and heard of this song that has legitimately brought me back to the way I felt during that scene when this song was first played. I felt all the emotion and sadness and pain that I felt for Kaneki in that moment. Bravo. This is my new favorite cover.
