    I say amen to what Todd said. Marriage is meant to last. However there is a very important point that some people might neglect and it is the choice of the partner which should be very carefully made with the wisdom of the Father. God has a purpose for each of us and our close relationships should be in line with that purpose. This is especially relevant for marriage. My desire is to marry according to God's heart for me.

    Seth Landry absolutely beforehand. But me and my husband didn't know God when we married. I got saved..he then made a decision but then ran from truth..But absolutely I have such a passion for marriage..Todds testimony of his marriage confirms God is the redeemer when those of us who didn't choose with God before we got saved...he turns it all around x

    Seth Landry You are very right and my exact thoughts! After we have carefully made the choice of a spouse under God and we apply these principles, things become easy. However if we made our own choice and run into trouble there still is Grace to overcome, it starts with making your way back to the cross. There is deliverance for the lawful captive. God's goal is to save!

    @Geovany God heals, according to your faith: search the scriptures for yourself and you will see this to be true. This includes healing of a marriage. Therefore, have faith for a full restoration of your marriage and you to your wife and children whom you love dearly. I stand in agreement with you in your prayer of thanks that God will restore your marriage, if you will stand in agreement with my prayer for your marriage to be restored. If you need more reassurance, I encourage you to listen to this video again. And also, ask God, aloud in prayer, to help build your faith and trust in Him (if it does not look like He has done so already) God is more than willing to help you fulfill His desire to trust Him and to build up your faith. All you need to is to let Him. In short, it would be very unwise to let pride keep you from accepting God's help, by attempting to do everything yourself in your Own strength. . .But I assume you know this. But I kindly remind you anyway, just incase you did not know, or forgot.

    It is so good to see within this comments section that there are so many men (and younger men) who seek to please God by Seeking Him first. I pray God continue that desire within their hearts. Therefore their desires line up with His abundant Good desires for their life, and therefore, they and their wife (of God's choosing) shall both find satisfaction primarily in Christ and therefore be more able and willing to love each other as they Should. 😊

    @Daniel Pratt and @Nombulelo Ndlela , Seek God and His Kingdom with All your heart, mind, and soul, and all that you desire will be added unto you. This is true because when you seek God and His Kingdom with All your heart, mind, and soul, His abundant Good desires become your desires. And He loves very much you and also very much loves fulfilling all that is good that He wants for your life. . . . But do not forget, because it is our spirit that is renewed in Him, not our flesh, we still will make our own selfish choices once in a while and then suffer consequences for them, and others' choices sometimes too . . . But be steadfast and never let all that keep you from praising God for all the God He Has brought about in the world. Everything that is truly good is truly from him. And everything that is not is not truly from him. . . . Though, the father of lies will try to trick you into blaming God for some things that cause sadness and/or loneliness, and sadly, sometimes succeeds . . .

Xxxx there stuff I still don't understand but all I know from experience is a supernatural love is given when we surrender to the love God has for our partners.i only found a few among many who agreed with me that God can reach the unreachable in the natural. When his love for them grips your heart no circumstances will change it...addiction adultery abuse you name it. It's a ministry of reconciliation back to the Father not in the natural that's the most important. You become an interceser ..Christ becomes enough for us. .not a marriage xxx

    Been married over 50 yrs.MARRIED BEFORE we were saved. One shoe doesn't fit all but I chose to stay the course regardless of the cost.Maintained a forgiving attitude but I warn you , you reap what you sow and it can be for a life time.But if you don't let it harden you , you will learn invaluble lessons. Not just for you but for others with marriage problems. One thing stands sure ,your relationship with God will deffinitely grow. Not all pastors have you or your marriage's best interest at heart. Som have their own agenda or some doctrine outside Gods word.Seek the Lord if there is no peace in his counsel. Sometimes seperation is necessary till things can be reconciled . Sometimes you just make the best of a bad siduation till God lrads you into a win win siduation. Both husband and wife should experience victory. Gods wisdom works and it does better sometimes without you putting your finger in thr pudding. When things seem impossible count the cost. If really no peace (follow after peace)it may be best to seperate. Hope this helps someone. Love in Christ

    Todd the higher ground when a man or women violates the marriage covenant through unfaithfulness is to forgive and continue with the marriage, however, Jesus did teach the only grounds for divorce is adultary because by committing this act the person who was unfaithful was consideredthe the other to be dead and nullifying the marriage covenant.

    Being allowed to biblically doesn't mean it's God's desire, nor a given that you should. Everytime you lust you commit adultery, and yet God doesn't divorce you. Every moment of idolotry is adultery. Just look at the book of Hosea. What we're 'allowed' to do and what we should do are not necessarily the same thing.

    I don't think that Jesus just fixes everything because you love him. We live in a fallen world and unfortunately even if you get saved, you still need to be transformed and that can take a lifetime depending on just how many trials you have been through. Marriage is for the earth and not for heaven. I mean most people live their lives going after getting married which won't even be in heaven. I believe that Jesus can teach you how to love but it is not going to solve all your marriage problems nor does Jesus solve all of our problems period. Take me for example. I got saved at 13, I love Jesus and have spent a ton of time in His presence. Yet I have also spent almost my entire life being verbally abused by my family to the point where I have CPTSD and constantly fight getting myself out of flashbacks. Tell this to a religious person they want to just quote scriptures at you or tell you to get into the presence of God. Not all problems that are in the earth are solved by heaven. Why do you suppose? Maybe the reason is that is who we become that is important and what we walk through is part of that becoming. So loving your wife in the natural is more about the man that you become? Can you do it in of yourself? No but what can you do apart from Jesus? I think that is the point. So while I agree there is super on our natural, I believe also that not every thorne in the flesh is removed for a reason. Would I love to be healed? One day I may be, but has one moment in the presence of God healed me yet? No. I think it pays to be a little bit practical. I think if I marry the man that is in my life, sure I would love him through Jesus however if he cheated on me I would be so outta there. Just saying. I don't care if I spent my life single because I have pretty much spent it living as a nun. haha He would be so out of my life. We cannot fix others and I don't think "loving someone via Jesus" means allowing bad behavior in your life. It's why I do not talk to my family, because I am not ok with being abused. It nearly killed me from the health issues it causes. Sometimes you have to be practical too

    @@kimsvlog8765 +Aimie Montgomery- Aimie - I didn't say it, but I apologize for the response you got regarding your post about how your family abused you and it made you physically ill.. That response was insulting. Kim --The cross transforming us doesn't change the fact that families and spouses can and do abuse you to the point of even severe physical sickness, and when one is disabled already, it sure doesn't help your situation. When your spouse claims to be saved and treats you like you hardly exist because your disabilities keep him from what he wants from you, so he decides instead to make your life more miserable than the pain from the disabilities already does..How would Aimie's living transformed end her being abused? Or mine? I KNOW that I have been transformed by Christ, but it doesn't stop the pain of his daily neglect and abuse. We CAN be transformed in Christ, but that does NOT change how anyone treats us, neither can we change any another person who does NOT want to be changed. It CAN change how we react IF we have the means to either stop or get away from that abuse. Not all of us do. The Bible commands that we "comfort one another", and sorry, if I were Aimee and you had given ME that advice, I'd be insulted. You clearly have NO idea what it is like to be made physically ill from another's abuse - of ANY kind, no matter where we are ub Christ, -fact is that we DO lean on Him..and I pray you NEVER do. Aimie, my prayers are with you, I KNOW your pain ALL too well. Praise God, you ARE away from it. Of course, it always hurts more when it's your own family. Or spouse....

    I'm sorry, but I can't agree with you Todd White. When you look into history, there were such a great men as Zinzendorf or Wesley, and many others, who definitely had perfect relationship with God but they had horrible marriage. And it wasnt because of lack of praying but they simply didn't care about their wifes. You can't advise men to focus on Jesus. Even it sounds wonderful and spiritual. If you don't focus on loving your wife too, your marriage will end pretty badly.

  • @blakelwhitney

    There's no way they had perfect relationship with God. No one does. Maybe they had lots of revelation and a good relationship, but perfect? By focusing on Jesus you will love your spouse well. By focusing on Jesus you'll do your job well. By focusing on Jesus you'll love one another well. You cannot be in perfect relationship with jesus while simultaneously sinning against man. This is why the psalmist, in recognizing his sin against another said "I have sinned against God". Any man who loves his wife would recognize his sin against her parents if he harmed her, for she is their child.

    Jan Andrýsek He saying by making your relationship with God through his son First, you will be able to love your spouse as Christ loves the church. It's an order thing and s prior thing. You love your spouse then you have children, but those kids never come before your spouse, they are fruit of your relationship with your spouse. You spend time with your children and love them but the order is your spouse first.

    Totally Scriptural....“And Jesus said to them, "Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. But from the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female.' 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate." And he said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her, and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery."” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:5-9, 11-12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

  • @rdnugent1
    @rdnugent14 жыл бұрын

    He lost me at, "I suppose you can search the scriptures..." Well, yeah. That is what we are called to do for all life. The very things he was describing about who we are and Who God is come directly from the scriptures. What God commands, forbids, or allows in scripture (whether I want to support my feelings or opinions or not) is still true and worthy of trust, because God said it. There are many marriages that have gone through adultery and are able to go through the process of reconciliation, and when that happens, that is wonderful and that is what most people would hope for. But the reason that Jesus states that a spouse is lawfully permitted to divorce because of porneia is because that is how much importance God puts on the sanctity and importance of the covenant of marriage. It's not to be trifled with, because He said so. And a man or a woman who is ongoing and unrepentant in their sexual sin against their marriage can only be saved whenever he/she is given over to the enemy in hopes of dealing with the consequences, in hopes of repentance and return. A spouse that decides (under much godly counsel) to divorce his/her wife for unrepentant sexual sin is not sinning or acting unbiblically. They are actually following what God has provided.

  • @delonchad

    @delonchad

    Jesus says in Mark 10, Moses allowed a certificate of divorce because of hardened hearts. From reading your post I pray that “habitual sexual sin” of a spouse doesn’t hardened a heart. The love spouse can still see God, still see love and pursue reconciliation through Gods eyes. We all were born broken, and God didn’t break his covenant with us because of our sin, he pursued us more...

Just never seek divorce, trust GOD to change your husband and protect you. I’ve seen JESUS change my dad at the age of 16. My dad is not who he was before. My mother still has her husband of 35+ years because of prayer and choosing to forgive unconditionally and the man he is now makes me forget who he was then. & For my mother she is the most joyful, strong, and sweetest woman I know. THANK YOU JESUS CHRIST!!! HEAVENLY FATHER BE GLORIFIED!!!!#longsuffering #loveneverfails #loveconquersall

    @@ark198989 no, & this is the problem w/ the church...yes God wants restoration in marriage & favor the family unit, however He DOES not want women & children to be abused & the church keeps excusing this behavior rather than confront it & women are left in that situation waiting on God to change it while they are being abused.. is that the heart of God? God also will not force anyone to change, we have free will & some people will refuse God's help & intervention & divorce IS not option for the safety & well being of the woman & sometimes children. I was abused & no one did a thing!! After 14 years, he refused God's help & change while I got left there to continue to deal w/ it...then when I left, he decided to start to get his life together but uses the bible to tear me down & manipulate...the church needs to open their eyes!!

    Todd white preaches the gospel, and doesn’t compromise. He often talks to muslims and tells them the truth of jesus as king and lord. He prays to one god. I only glorify god now because god used this guys preaching to save me. I spent hours a day as a 15 yo watching his videos and having my mind blown over what the gospel actually means and I am jesus’ because of it. He’s on the right side :)

    Study the word. God does end covenants. That's how we have the new covenant. God divorced Isreal. Under the new covenant Jesus gives the same principle as before. Every situation is different and you should ask the Lord what to do, not man. Just because you are a son under the new covenant and that won't change. Doesnt mean you are the bride. He isn't marrying his son because that would be weird. God is a relational being. He speaks in terms of relationship. We have wives husband's fathers mothers sons daughter etc. Your right about Christ and the church and loving each other in that way. You should have a relationship with the Lord where you are experiencing that love and being taught to love in that way. Teaching people that they shouldn't look to the word to see what God standard for continuing in a marriage is not correct. This has held people in abusive relationships for years. This comes from a lack of understanding. God isn't going to put up with it but he wants you to. Whom the Lord loveth he corrects. Being an enabler of abuse in any form weather they are doing it to you or theirselves is not how God operates. He does want them free and for the marriage to be how he intends. If they aren't and don't want to be than that is their choice. I lay before you life and death choose life. Choose. The gospel is about telling people they have a choice but they have to choose it. Freedom is available do you want to be free? This is what the Lord has shown me you have to ask him to show you. Things get lost in translation or misinterpreted. We are all learning.

    I think Todd your the kind of man that distorts the truth of Gods word. He does not need more of your kind in the world do not make light of people stepping out side of their marriage vows you have said some other things that were not so Jesus and God are one they are not separate Jesus is God and God is Jesus they are holy.

    hakim nemer Ok I just watched the first twenty minutes of that video but its an hour and 43 minutes long and I don't really feel like watching the whole thing. My assessment based on the first twenty minutes is that the guy who made the video is jumping to conclusions and although he does have some good points I can't take him seriously because he's clearly making these guys look even worse than they are. I agree that not all miracles are from God and that we should test the spirits. The thing about Todd is that I haven't seen him do that energy ball thing. I've only seen him do healings and preach the Gospel. Also I don't think that he denies the diety of Christ.

    ihe says he believes that jesus was born as a man and not as God. thats wrong and heresy. he also believes that jesus went 3 days to Hell when the bible clearly says he gives his spirit into his fathers arms and before he died he said it is finished. todd preaches a gnostik jesus. look at the people he is teaming up with and asking for millions to build the kingdom of God together with is diabolik friend kenneth copeland. please dont be decieved that are lying signs and wonders. dont believe me check it with scripture. love and blessings

    Dirk Friedrichsen The point? If you have listened to some of his other messages which are flat out frauds now he wants to illicit credibility by being an expeet on marriage? And then this message without the requisite miracle, a word of knowledge or hearing from God or some such nonsense like "God told me". Give me a break.

    He's the kind of guy who puts scripture first. He studies it everyday. A lot of people have criticized him and he's actually repented of certain things and changed. He didn't grow up in a Christian environment so he's had a lot to learn but he's actually changed in a positive way over the years.
