Same. I am honestly lonely by choice.

I feel like the outlier, definitely wouldn't call myself lonely I actually prefer keeping to myself and not really being a social person. I have my animals, my fiance, my son and the 3 or 4 people i talk to consistently and i couldn't be happier. We aren't all lonely but most of us in the fanbase are inteoverts.

Ghost is my 1 year old niece’s favorite band. She gets so excited when my brother plays their music on tv.

@@BUlrich-dw7xi very true. Too many people aren't taught how to be comfortable with who they are and it makes me sad. I wish there was a way to reach out to more people and let them know that no matter what they may go through they aren't alone and we are all in this together.

@@getshwiftygaming447 I know it's a cliche, but if you want to reach out to people, volunteering in an area that you care about is a really good way to do it. I've been doing literacy volunteer work at my local library for years because I love to read, and it's really amazing to help people in such a basic, fundamental way. I've also finally been brave enough to start volunteering with LGBTQ youth, to show them as living proof that once they get out of their current lousy home and/or school situations, they can actually survive to become relatively happy, healthy, and even semi-cool adults. (At least I hope I'm semi-cool! XP) It's going well so far, and I've met some really awesome people who are also volunteers at this program, and are more around my own age. (Roughly Tobias aged.) It feels pretty incredible to know that you can help people, just by listening to them, and letting them know that they're not alone.

Sigh... I went to the STL show.. it was live nation's fault. They own the venue, and went along with their base line "rules" and trying to say it was Ghosts fault at the same time. Security was even confused about it. Some let people in some forced people to wipe it off in line. It was a stupid ass scenario that shouldn't have been an issues. Live nation/Hollywood casino amphitheater issued a statement the next day "apologizing".. Basically saying we messed up without saying it.

He is completely correct.. for me anyways. I found a community of support and love within the Ghost community. And the fact that Tobias acknowledges us fans and encourages us to be ourselves, I will always love this man and Ghost in general with my whole heart ❤

Well, considering a lot of us had some fk’d up stuff happen to us, we’ve learned not to trust so easily after years of getting hurt and burned. I’ve often thought that Tobias had to have gone through some extremely traumatic things in his life. You don’t write things like “I can feel the Thunder that’s breaking in your heart, I can see the scars inside you”, without having scars. And we all know the longer it takes to heal the the bigger the scar. And that’s just one example of what I feel reveals he’s been through that level of pain. I’m just glad he didn’t let everything go to his head. He’s always been super to his fan base and if you ever go to a Ghost concert, it’s like framily (friends+family).

The only reason I can think of them wanting it removed is in case of some sort of criminal event taking place and them not being able to be identified due to the face paint. It's stupid and ridiculous but that's the world we've come to where everything is becoming very Draconian. Or it's because the security in particular or the location of the venue was very religiously oriented and they didn't want the kids portraying anything that they would deem satanic or demonic in any way. Religious zealots can be a bit out of touch.

The best bands were nurtured. I love seeing bands that put in the work finally hit that point. Look at all these older legendary bands. A lot have a bunch of albums before they even got a hit.

I was at that show in Maryland Heights. They didn’t blame the band but they were claiming it was a venue rule for some reason. St. Louis is really weird about stuff. I remember one time I went to a show at The Pageant and they wouldn’t let me bring in a bottle opener.

Im not lonely because I love my me time, I'm just a hardcore introvert. I think a lot of the fan base are introspective, creative souls that dont fit into a 9-5 soul-killing paradigm.

Reading through the comments. Can't believe how similar our stories are. I also live alone and love it. And I live ghost. I've been playing and listening to music for over 20 years. I've never been a 'fanboy' of one particular band until ghost. I absolutely inhaled their discography after listening to Infestissumam, and then the covers ep, and a few live acoustic. All of it, I loved all of it. Nearly got a Ghost tattoo, still might, I do have a Tribes of Neurot tattoo which is essentially Neurosis. They are my second fav band and even though I do have a tattoo I never obsessed over them near as much as ghost and Tobias' other projects like Magna Carta Cartel which is magical. Tobias broke music for me.

Multitudes of people are lonely, but if we all could just get to know one another, we wouldn’t be. We need to find that common denominator, that has been infiltrating our ears all along.🎶

I’m gay in a non-accepting and extremely Christian family. Tobias’s theory that Ghost fans deal with hurt is absolutely true. It might be edgy to say this, but listening to bands that flirts with Satanic imagery is powerful to me. Probably because of my religious upbringing that shamed me for who I am. I also struggled with depression for a while. Now, I have accepting friends who care about me. But having the majority of my family not accept me is still painful, even as an adult.

I do not know if this is the case … I am a fairly gregarious (old) fellow. I have more than one friend who also loves Ghost. I am also a Mason and know several others who are fans. My wife does not care for Ghost; not her style of music but she doesn’t mind that I love them. I love being a Ghost fan and find I like other Ghost fans! Now to some degree I suppose we are outsiders, in the sense that we are somewhat unlikely to be a religious zealot, but then I am guessing none of us ever we’re 😮😂

Never really thought of Ghost as Heavy Metal or Nu Metal. Its too melodic and euphoric. never the less whatever you want to call their sound I like it. The faceless ghouls are fantastic musicians and Tobias has a voice that reminds me a lot of Klaus Meine of Scorpions. His image as a Ghoulish Pope and his vocals just fit so well. Calming and uplifting to Growly and sinister. Whilst I feel that some of their songs are heavily commercialized and overplayed which lowers their value for me personally I cant help but love and respect the energy and talent behind it all. As for Ghost fans being Lonely People. They shouldn't be. They have each other. They have Ghost and its music. Whenever I have a bad day and I hear Ghost Playing I just feel better inside. That's the way it should be. Long live Ghost!

Tobias Forge is NOT the singer in Ghost. Look at their necks, and head structure, and hair. Tobias has a much younger, thinner, more feminine neck compared to the singer of Ghost. I wish someone would call out this LIE!!!

Huh? Ghost formed in 2006, but they didn't release anything or perform until fall 2010. So if you count band formation, then 17 years. But I'd count since 2010, then they've been around for 13 years now!

I think most people are lonely these days, at least from what I’ve seen but I could be wrong

Being outsiders, introverts, voluntarily enjoying alone time, or being independent or individualistic enough to do your own thing doesn’t have to constitute loneliness. Seems like an oversimplification, assumption, or possible misunderstanding which makes me surprised that someone like Tobias would generalize a group, especially his own group. Most people have hurt… but that also doesn’t insure loneliness as a result. Weird.
