Interview with Tobias on 28.11.2019 at Hartwall Arena, Helsinki Finland. The interview was only available on a Finnish website (see link), so I thought I'd upload it here to give it some more visibility.

I hate the idea that people think they should go out unmasked, the best answer from a stage show vision is that they’re a theatrical band. You wouldn’t ask Rammstein to go without their pyrotechnics, or a well established musical to go on without makeup, or other defining features. Yes, the band are very established now but it’s a constantly changing fictional story behind the band, regardless of who the members are. It’s purely theatrics and that’s what interests me.

Then I thought he had almost no input in songwriting after he did an interview dressed as a nameless ghoul saying so. Trying to pass off credit. After the lawsuit it came out that he writes EVERYTHING! Himself and hides his face behind a mask. This man is a true artist. He does it all for the right reasons, not for recognition.

Very dry interviewer. I agree, I like the Cardinal, he's dorky and funny to me, seems to have a bit more personality. Pappa 3 is my 2nd fave as he was like a dirty Frenchman.

I LOVE his interpretation of Satan. I also believe that Satan represents freedom and independence. Lucifer represents amazing music (he was the leader of heaven's choir), beauty (he was the most beautiful angel in all the mythology), and happiness. I have never felt so accepted in my life.

Literally same! As a laveyan satanist, I completely agree with what he says about Satan and judeo-christian religions, and it makes me so happy that there's someone famous and influential out there that I can relate to, who actually shares my beliefs, and has the guts to speak about them.

As someone who has experience performing in a mask, you probably need to do it yourself to really understand how creatively liberating it is. I could VERY easily do things in character and under hood that wouldnt fly at all. Ask Andrew Dice Clay about that. He spent so much time as this lewd goon that he got hooked on it and sort of became that guy full time. Point is- its a license to kill in some ways

I have always connected with Tobias, I was treated like shit In catholic school ,I got rid of organized religion and just went with my faith in God, I always believed religion was a construct of man to twist and turn people's faith in something, It's definitely made me more open minded, two of my best friends are atheists, another cool thing about GHOST is the band always reinvents itself in some way and it works every time. Tobias is very intelligent as a musician. RATS is a great song it reminds me of Gene Kelly in SINGING IN THE RAIN.

"I know very very few things in the history of the world that have been perprated in the name of the devil.." As someone who comes from a religious background, Forge's statement struck a chord with me. There are so many heinous acts carried out "in the name of God," it kind of makes you wonder whether Satan really is the evil being its portrayed in the mosque, church, etc.

That’s why I did a total turn on my past self. I was like a younger leader in my church and I was going to die a martyr or die trying. But then I got out of my little bubble world and learned so much. I got into industrial music and started to think for myself and learn to accept that I am cause and effect of my life. I am in control of my own life. Good or bad. Whatever happens I made it happen. I have a healthier view of the world now. I’m definitely humanist. There’s too much hurt caused in the name of Jesus for me to continue down that path with a clear conscience. I’ve tried reconciling free will and all that shit. It doesn’t work still. For an all powerful, all knowing god to see the damage his followers have done and do nothing.. it says a lot. I got out and for the betterment of myself and hopefully for others as well.
