Speed runs of the original TMNT are still amazing. Feasel's are the best.

That's true with most of whats shown, it looks good, but look how they made April bigger than the Turtles, and Casey is huge. An obvious design flaw, even if it's what they purposely want, it is just plain silly imo.

I love Casey Jones, especially in the first movie, but come on. He was only in six episodes, of a 193 ep series. I made sure to fact check this, just in case. He wasn't exactly a staple. Unless you mean the comics or later cartoons, but this game isn't cribbing the style of those.

@@MrElbowsmash He was a major important character in every other medium which includes the ORIGINAL comics that the 87 cartoon is based on. Casey Jones is as important to turtles lore as April is.

@@MrElbowsmash Well, Casey may have been a minor character in the Fred Wolf cartoon, but he was a major character in the comics and later cartoons, hence why I believe he is playable alongside April (who was the damsel in distress in the Fred Wolf cartoon, with later incarnations making her more of a fighter, as seen in the 2007 movie and the 2012 cartoon).

Something about Casey and Splinter slapping a high five just makes me smile! I've got to admit, I wasn't expecting Casey Jones to be playable in this game, but I am totally stoked that he is! He wasn't shown in the early animated teaser, only April and Splinter, the first logo featured the four turtles but slowly added April and Splinter after they were revealed and there just didn't seem to be room for him, not to mention the fact that Jones wasn't technically a main character in the 80's series, only appearing in a handful of episodes; the odds of him showing up as a playable character in this game seemed pretty slim. However, despite all of this they included him because, no matter the continuity, Casey Jones is a big part of the Turtle's lore. I can't wait to start smacking some "Law Breaker's" with a golf bag full of sports equipment!

@@Anvar2308 In the original TMNT comics, Casey Jones was a vigilante who fought criminals with a golf bag full of sports equipment while wearing an iconic hockey mask. He first encounters the turtles when he meets and fights Raphael on the street, however the two eventually become friends and he becomes one of the turtles most trusted allies, and even the love interest of April O'Neil. He's been in most iterations of TMNT, but the 80's version that this game is based on is probably the least developed version of Casey. He doesn't even take off his mask in the show. It's why I was surprised that he's a playable character here. It just shows what a popular character he is in the TMNT franchise.

Casey Jones was also a part of TMNT Tournament Fighters. Maybe that's why they added him.

Nothing can express the amount of nostalgic joy this brings to my heart. The animations, the details, the music, and the gameplay are absolutely amazing. No words can describe the abundance of love that was put into this game. I cannot wait to get this!

Well then you're going to love this: there is voice acting in the game and all 4 of the original VA's for the Turtles are in the game. Sadly, we won't get Shredder obviously, as the legendary Uncle himself, James Avery, passed away some years back. How awesome it would have been to hear the original Shredder one more time :(

I already feel sorry for the bosses. They probably will get a damage output & HP per co-op player but still.. there's only so much you can do when 6 players are ganging up on you haha. Gonna be great fun for sure !

it's a day after my birthday as well, debating on buying it day one or not?

Can’t wait to play this very soon. Can’t leave Casey Jones behind. The 6 player co-op was a surprise. Giving me X-Men arcade vibes. If these guys can make solid beat’em ups like SOR4 and now TMNT, how about a X-Men beat’em up with the 90s era X-men next? So many rememberable X-Men in that era. Just to keep the nostalgia train going.

Hands down game of the year for me. Game of the decade maybe now Casey is a playable character! 6-player co-op, that's crazy awesome! Thank you thank you thank you! Is it the 16th yet?

I'm hyped! TMNT is my childhood. I had a bunch of the toys, worshipped the cartoon, played all the video games, watched all the movies a million times. This game looks amazing!

Dotemu I just wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this game . When Street of Rage 4 came out I was amazed when I cut the game on , I literally teared up while playing it. Then I left a comment that got a lot likes when I said I think y’all should make a TMNT game , now look where we at now lol, I feel like y’all heard me, well if that’s the case I hope y’all make a Voltron or Transformers game next, or maybe even a Thundercats game I’d buy them all , I love your games keep up the amazing work ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

The animations are so good in this! In less than 5 seconds we see Bebop: struggle to pop out of the Turtle Tenderizer (lol, love it) window, take a swing at the turtles, taunt them and then panic as he notices something ahead of him on the road. That's so much personality shown in so little time!

this is how you bring back the retro feel and goodness of the classic turtle games for the new era amazing work and a day 1 purchase for me:)

Great music, awesome graphics, classic beat ‘em up gameplay we all love, add in a 6 player local/online mode and Casey Jones as a playable character, you keep exceeding our expectations with Shredder’s Revenge. This is the game every TMNT fan has been waiting for, cant wait to play it!

This game is incredible so far!

The music change at 0:46 makes me a cd or something I can listen to wherever I go. So goddamn good.

Seeing Casey in action gave this 41 year old goosebumps!

Yes! The moment Casey Jones appeared I heard a standing ovation! And then... 6 player co-op?? And then... 16 June??! Also... Game pass??! Day. One. Period.

I was expecting Casey, but NOT A 6 PLAYER ONLINE COOP! HOLY PIZZA!!!!

Really happy to see Casey. And it’s coming this soon. I actually hope these devs do a TMNT game based on another series. Imagine if they did a cool side scroller based on 2003, 2012, or even Rise.

@@ethanaboagye4314 , Raw Thrills actually made one of the TMNT 2012 series, but it is also an arcade game. Sadly, it will not be as good as this one, though.

@@ethanaboagye4314 , it is an arcade game, though, in comparison to this game, it is not as good of an effort, which is a shame.

I'd really love it if Rocksteady and Bebop were playable too at some point. :) Would be a dream come true. Not in a 'storyline' accurate way, more of a, once you beat the game they are unlocked and playable kinda way.

Ah my childhood years of watching the TMNT in the 2000s are coming back to me. The nostalgia is only amplified by my recent love of the comic books I've been currently reading

@@APDaBaron , the 2003 TMNT series is actually closer to the original Mirage Comics version of the franchise than the 1987, or other TMNT cartoons, and media, ever were.

Now all we need is Leatherhead(playable), Caitlyn, Prof. Honeycutt, Karai, Mona Lisa and of course Lotus. You guys seriously did an amazing job with this game it will go down in history as the best official TMNT game ever and i love that you put in Tempestra that is a deep cut for major fans thank you

Leatherhead is a boss. I've seen screenshots of the turtles fighting him.

Tribute games and Dotemu. Thank you so much for Casey Jones looks fantastic and bad ass. You made my day.

Please buy this game and ask the devs for sequels based of the other TMNT shows. I wanna see three more games based on TMNT 2003, 2012(Nickelodeon) and Rise. Or at least a sequel that goes crossover with the various incarnations of the characters. =D

Man, you guys made my day. Not only did I not expect Casey to be playable, which he now is (heck yeah), but then you also pretty much shadowdrop the game next week, where I still have taken time off from work, so I have plenty of time to play. Thank you guys, can't wait! :D

I cannot tell you how many times I have watched this trailer just because I am so excited!

Me and my kid have been waiting for the release date announcement for ages now. Turtle power.

Omg those mad lads did it, an actual playable April, Splinter, AND Casey Jones? In the same game!? Be still my heart.

Watched the dev interviews and this shows they went even beyond what they said then. So excited to finally be able to play this game!

I use to play one of the TMNT games on Sega genesis when I was a little boy. This brought me back to one of my earliest memories as a kid. I gotta play it for the love ❤️

Finally the character I've been hoping for! Would've been awesome if they had Elias Koteas or Pat Fraley, voicing him.

I knew they were saving the best for last next to announcing their release dates.

Hell yeah! I KNEW we were going to get Casey. I had no idea it would be so soon though! I can't wait!

My most anticipated game for this year! Well, to be honest, I don't really know what other games are scheduled for release this year. But it would probably still be this game at the top even if I knew more release dates. I have spent so many hours with Turtles in Time and The Hyperstone Heist and this is the first TMNT game I've been excited for since those games.

Definitly agree with you and now that arcade rooms are dying, even in Japan, it would a great tribute to the arcade era. Anyway this team deserves it

Most anticipated game of 2022. 6 players and Casey is just icing on the pizza!

The fact they got the original voice actors from the show makes me feel like im 8 years old again! OG Turtle 🐢 power for life! And now all 4 voice actors are coming to Emerald City ComicCon!

Im halfway through this clip there bettwr be an Official release date been waiting forever it feels for this game, sweet looks like June 16th!

I expected Casey but not 6 player co-op! Like they went into my 10 year old mind and Inception’d out my dream game and made it. Two questions: the PS4/5 only are able to connect 4 controllers so I assume 6 player local is going to be impossible on Sony’s consoles? And will this game feature cross platform online play?

This is exactly what I'm trying to confirm but the fact that they haven't said and it releases next week leads me to believe it won't have it...

I just pre-ordered the physical copy for this game from Limited Run Games this morning. I can't wait to get it.

It's like re-living your childhood all over again and will be purchasing for multiple systems to support this great upcoming game

This summer marks 30 years since the SNES release of Turtles IV: Turtles in Time in the US. In my eyes, I consider this to be TMNT V: Shredder's Revenge; given that it's centered in the classic 1987 verse, is the 5th game getting a home console release on a Nintendo system, and the title insinuates it takes place after Turtles in Time, it only makes sense. My question now is, as we got the 3 highly sought after fighters for the roster (April, Splinter, and Casey Jones), who could we see as an 8th or more fighter for DLC (fingers crossed of course). My hopes are on Usagi Yojimbo, cause who wouldn't want to be a bad-ass samurai bunny-rabbit?

Dotemu are doing the Lord’s work with all these old IPs an I love them for it. Please never stop making quality games, I will support them everytime I can ❤️🙌🏽
