In the third segment of the popular Manodharma series, TM Krishna discusses the concept of Kalpanaswarams in great detail. He goes on to address issues of mentally preparing oneself for a performance. And later, in answering a question, talks about the concept of shrutis.
Krishna was accompanied by Akkarai Subhalakshmi on violin, Arunprakash Krishnan on mridangam and Chandrasekara Sharma on ghatam. Tanpura support was provided by Krishna's student Vignesh Krishnamurthy.
This event was curated by First Edition Arts and produced in association the Experimenter Learning Program, Kolkata.

Look at the way he place the whole idea of Performance. Dear Subalakshmi, when you play the violin you are interpreting the instrument in two ways, 1. With Your Hands. 2. With your Eyes.
TMK is a genius. He is way beyond SKNs and other awards. Brings in relevance and contemporariness to Carnatic music

I try to see all his performances....he is amazing.....
I love this guy, so down to earth and such a passionate communicator. I wish I could be his student (even though I have no formal music background)
Akkarai has this super human ability to reproduce insanely long string of swaras with accuracy.

Waoo!! Swara is a moving body in which its fixed position is one possibility!!!! Its ridiculous to hit fixed pitch and do up amd down!!!! My god ,this is confusing me!!! I play sitar and i do that only... Hit Ma and do up and down..... Please Kindly elaborate more....

Shashank Singh you and veena players do have that limitation let’s say, which esraj players like myself, singers, and violinists do not have. But when you play the murki SNRS in, say, tilak kamod, the essential identity of the phrase rotates around S, although you’ve pulled from N.
Just finished watching the first two parts.. This dropped in just in time
