The church was built by the British for those who died during anglo Afghan war hence the name.It’s a majestic church and one of the oldest in South Mumbai. I suppose this beautiful performance is a symbol of national integration in itself.

Some people just got it in their blood, their veins, they don't play music, they are music.

We stayed in Colaba and my children used to go to Navy Nagar for Kendriya Vidhyalaya. Afghan Church and RC Church are the two historical heritage religions places of worships. Calm and peaceful areas. Proud to be Indian

Lord Shiva's keerthana sung in a church in beautiful Tamil language. Nothing could have been better than this performance.

Tamil may be but definitely Sanskrit slokas mantras which we know. Carnatic is blend of south India languages, Sanskrit. Thyagaraja composed beautiful Telugu songs. Endaro mahanabhavalu andariki vandanamulu.

In any other religion, what you said would've been a blasphemy! But only Hindus know what our Gods mean to us.

I do not understand the language nor am I very knowledgable about Carnatic music. But all I can say is that I was captivated and mesmerised. Ultimately that is what music is - it transcends language, culture, religions and brings forth something deeper - that as human beings we yearn to connect with other souls through common appreciation of something external that touches each of us internally also. Every ghatam is different.... Selection is on ur need... I mean to say the scale....

We are indeed very fortunate to have such great artistes in our country. It’s a blessing to even just listen to these Great musicians 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Vidwan Vikku Vinayakram is playing with ghatam like a child playing with his toys. God! look at the teja in his eyes.. They shine brighter then the sun.
