Happiness is TK Friday. Great tips. Removing halos at the end is extremely helpful. Thanks Dave!

Very nice edit Dave. Of the many ways of dodging and burning in Photoshop, the procedure you use in this video is my preferred one, by far. It is easy to remember, simple to apply only where desired and quite effective.

I always enjoy your edits, but in this case the final image seems very dark and not in keeping with the blue sky and the white clouds.

Another great video Dave , could you use an edge mask to deal with the halos ?

Thanks. You can use an edge mask combined with the technique I show in this video to target just the halo.

Always love you videos. When using a depthmap and an inverted depthmap is there not the risc that certain edits will apply to both ? You can see which areas that are by intersecting both masks.

There is overlap in the two depth maps but you need to take care how you apply the adjustments to each depth map, taking into consideration the overlap.

This isn't a TK question although I have those. This is a Nik Silver Efex pro 2 question. I saw one of your helpful vids on it and you were able to move the Loupe panel from the bottom? I can't figure out how to do it? The normal left click hold and drag doesn't work?

I think the fg is too warm and separates from middle and bg. It’s yellow green and middle is blue green. Generally I think the overall edit is simply terrific! Dynamic and just right.

Hi Dave. Having trouble with inverting my depth mask. Tried another language...still not helping. When I select my depth map copy and then click invert mask icon I get another layer named Invert 1. I cannot change the name of it either. when I double click to attempt to change the name a dialog box pops up saying Layer Mask Display Options. Color Opacity 50%. My choices are Cancel or OK. I'm not sure what is happening. Do you have the channel of the Depth Map copy active before you click the invert button on the Combo or CX Panel? Also make sure you are clicking the correct Invert button. One of the Invert Buttons is for inverting Selections and the other one is for inverting Pixel layers. You want the one for pixel layers which is right above the Group Button. If that doesn't work try using the shortcut of command I (Mac) or CTRL I (PC) while the Depth Map Copy is selected to invert the Depth Map Copy. Now for the renaming: If you double click on the mask thumbnail you will get the dialog you are talking about. You can just type in the new name in the name field and click ok to rename the channel. The other way you can change the name is to double click on the channel name and the name will then be highlighted and you can type in the new name and type Return to change the channels name.

@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly Oh goodness! I was clicking the wrong depth map button. I was in the Multi Mask panel not the TK 9 Combo panel. Worked like a charm. Thank you.
