Dave, in the autumn when the first snows hit the high peaks one can use the light luminosity masks but I've found the dark contrast filter in Nik even better to tone down the bright snow and even add a little clarity. You have to drop the opacity quite a bit 20-30%, Give it a try some time.

Thank you, Dave. This was so helpful, I own NIK 7 but was overwhelmed by it. Your tutorial gives a view to the logic of it. Keep them coming, please.

Hey Dave, I discovered your channel for everything Nik-related these days, currently catching up with a few years old videos. They are so useful, even with the newer versions of Nik. Thanks a lot!

Thanks Dave, just played along at home with that image. Neat stuff that I wouldn't have thought to put together. contrast only was interesting. How would you compare Clearview to the dehaze slider in lightroom? - tim

Thanks. I think the Clearview in the NIK Collection is superior, in my opinion.

@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly yeah just played with it by itself on a landscape. have you done a vid thats more specific to using clearview? like how to use on one area and not the foreground say? thanks
