Titanic Sub Passengers Presumed Dead in 'Catastrophic Implosion'
Ойын-сауық
All five passengers aboard the missing submersible Titan are presumed dead following a 'catastrophic implosion.' Rear Admiral John Mauger, the commander of the U.S. Coast Guard leading the search, announced Thursday at a news conference in Boston that they located 'five major pieces of debris,' including the nose cone of the vessel. He added that it was found 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic wreckage.

My heart goes out to the families I personally feel we as people should let the titanic rest now. It made it mark it should be documented, and closed til further notice of it🙏🏽❤.
Something I could never do is anything under water or being submerged.
Just leave the Titanic alone
I feel like crying & don't even know them. Like-their families don't deserve this anguish. They deserve our deepest condolences. _:/_

@dianah735 Can't believe how many warnings they had & still went. They are so selfish for this & are too intelligent to dismiss so many red flags.

@johnluin6793 you had to sign a waiver in order to board on the titan.. it said they aren't liable for any injuries and or death .. so sad they knew it was a possibility.

That was a expensive death

RIP and condolences to their families 😭🙏 Titanic 's Curse
Crazy how the government never send real equipment to save people. The Navy could have found it in a matter of hours.

I don't know why, but I hope that they at least got to circle the Titanic debris before they died. Some small bit of joy before they lost their lives.
Too bad there's no black box. A cabin recording and equipment log record would be helpful to find out what happened. The airline industry has been using them on most planes.

Apparently OceanGate was too cheap to install a black box or even some kind of pinger. As a result the US government and other countries' governments have wasted a tremendous amount of money searching for this privately owned and operated sub with only 5 people aboard. It's ridiculous. OceanGate is fully responsible for the tragedy and should repay the governments.

I get how you feel but to be fair, the people on board who were Americans, pay taxes and are therefore entitled to search and rescue being provided to them.

No black box needed. Last location was exactly where surface ship lost contact. All 5 occupants would have died in less than a few seconds. They probably would have realized for a moment when the implosion happened and then total darkness and crushing pressure. 2 miles of water sitting at 6000psi exerted on human body they would not be able to hold breath, move or see after the implosion and that’s if they remained conscious.

@@sanwright1 A black box is useful to record measurements, communications, positioning, and other useful information. if there had been one and it could be recovered it might have provided a clue to exactly what failed.

@@turbofan450 The government doesn't investigate people's private disasters unless there is some government regulation involved, like for example Kobe Bryant's helicopter crash. These wealthy people have enough money to fork over $250k per seat on that sub? Then let them pay for the analysis and recovery. We shouldn't have to pay for stupid people's follies.
Just the thought that they weren’t sitting waiting to run out of oxygen I hope is some comfort to the families 🙏🙏
It blew up. So they were not there suffocating. Instant death. So sad for their families!! This is alot to think about.

Worse than blew up. It imploded, instantaneous crushing. They would have had a brief moment of terror and it would have been over in a second. Terrible

OceanGate made a lot of money charging people for these joy rides. They need to cough up a big pile to pay for the search.

If someone asked those men to drop 250k for a charitable cause I wonder if they would've done it?

*_Very tragic… This is why I'm scared to do this stuff._*
SO SAD.. IN A WAY WE ALL COULD LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT WHAT HAPPEN WHAT NO TO DO!!!.. MY CONDOLENCE TO EVERYONE WHO AFFECTED BY THIS.
R.I.P
Is it not possible to have audio & video transmission from the sub, so we could have atleast seen their last moments. How boring!
RIP
The only way to die that deep down is by making a trip down 12850 feet at a cost of 250000. In All other water death including titanic, you drown within a small distance down and never get to go down without being already dead but in this one, the water pressure kills you before they get a chance to drown!! Very sad. I hope it was implosion and death was very quick for them 😢

That sub imploded an hour into the dive
😥💔
This is ridieculous. This was a private unregulated tourist venture with only 5 people aboard. But the US government is already hemorrhaging $$$$, first searching for the sub, now conducting analysis. There is no value to taxpayers. They should stop now. Let OceanGate fund the analysis and attempt to recover the bodies, they are solely responsible for this tragedy.
Not for any money in the world would I put my ass in one of these submarines
