In this video I review the beer Matt at Wrecked Brewing and I brewed together. It is a kettle sour made with 3 lbs of blueberries.

You definitely helped me to see how easy sours can be to make. I had a lot of fun making this one and it did not last. It was a great first sour. The tartness level is really good too so now I have an idea what to shoot for. Cheers Dennis!

I wish I liked sours but I just haven’t liked any and from what I understand, you basically have to sacrifice a fermenter to use for sours only.

Actually this is a kettle sour so you don’t have to worry about the bugs messing up your fermentation vessels. We used Goodbelly probiotics in the kettle to sour it then boiled after 24 hrs so the lacto is killed. After the boil it’s just normal fermentation and no issue with contamination. If you go back in my feed you can check out the brew day and I take you step by step through the process if you want to give it a shot. Sláinte
