There are times when your door at home will begin to touch against the door frame, and then you begin to wonder why is it doing that; you look around the door and the frame and you find nothing wrong with it yet is touching with the door jam.

Many times when a door decides to wobble when closing or opening, or it even starts to make a weird noise; you then decide to check the door hinges for rust or lose screws sense at this point is obvious something is wrong.
After checking your door wood for damages, and then checking your door frame for imperfections; you find nothing obvious, leaving you with the only thing left which is your door hinges.
Upon checking the door hinges on this exterior door existing to the garage, I quickly found concerns with the hinges holding the door with the frame; two out of the three hinges were damaged which I will explain further in what way.

The top hinge of the door had lose screws due to the age of the wood, as well as the time of the door being use over the years; the original screws just were not holding the hinges tight enough against the wood so they became lose.
Then there was the middle hinge showing a crack on the wood by the door frame not the door itself, so basically when these two are not holding the door in place correctly; you will then begin to notice it lean downwards where it then forces it out out of the frame alignment and then begins to create the robbing behavior against the door frame.
When you are faced with a repair like this you have two options, one which is affordable known as the repair method; and then you have the replace method which is more expensive. Replacement involves changing the door jam from the hinges side. Repairing it would involve keeping the door jam as is then applying repair methods such as those I explain below.
Considering on my situation that the door frame wood as well as the door wood itself were in OK condition only showing a crack while the door wood was just weaken on the screws side, I decided to apply the longer screw method which basically allows the screws to penetrate through the damaged weaken wood spots further into the rest of the wood which it then allows it to tighten.
The longer screw method is typically what you will need to do in a situation like this with cracked wood, the whole idea is to go long and/or think with the new screws; this way you go deeper into the wood and/or bigger into the wood allowing for tighten to occur using the existing holes.

It’s crazy😂 like they blame this guy for the crap work all over the world and then when he explains what happened and the customer being cheap.. they disappear and leave their nasty comments.

exactly what I tell people. there are the quick fixes for the budget customer. and then there are the expensive service like new door and jam lol for the rich customer
The wood is split....... use longer screws and ignore the split. Riiiiiight.

the customer was giving two choices. one is to repair the problem by performing a remedy as in this example there are many to keep cost friendly. he was also advised that the more permanent recommended option was to remove the entire wood piece then installing a new one. or in that same token I even suggested if we are going to the trouble with option 2 of just changing the one wood piece. maybe might as well install a new prehung door since we have to expose the wall. customer was on a budget for the entire home since he needed to get it ready for rental and there was other things to do not just that and so he personally told me the repair method sounded good to him and in this example it turned out fine. so before you assume this was intentional so please know the whole story. I can't force people to pay me for the job well done and instead some people choose the cheaper option as long as is works. I am not the type of handyman to hide the options and I am transparent so person decides.
This is exactly the kind of terrible work I am fixing at the moment. I’m so sick of half assed measures! If you can’t fix it properly don’t touch it at all!!!!

if the width of wood is 30 cm only that is normal width of door frame wood, how can u use long screws

in my particular example there was another 2x4 wood stud on the inside of the wall next to the one used for the door. also as covered on the video I needed to first secure the front side by pushing the two together to close the gap.
That is not fixing it that’s just ignoring the problem
