Well, I am young, 5 years under the considered young furry age, I made a muzzle, jaw, and cheeks from foam, make sure it’s bigger than you’re head size, so you can keep it for longer, same with the skull dog heads! :3

I turned 16 a while ago, but I still classify myself as a “young” furry, and I appreciate these kinds of videos. I’ve always been looked at as a weirdo, what with me being a skateboarder for most of my life, but I still am surprised at how people look at me when they see my art. Keep up the great work!

I’m a young fur but I have finished my foam base for my head (first fursuit) and I have made the head bigger than usual so I can add padding and when my head grows I can’t take out the padding. It’s a good strategy, I recommend it!

I'm a young fur too and you know most people say they're young fur time was cringey and they annoyed some of the older furs. I as a young fur myself when I speak like for example about a trip I had I'm like right ya little bastards then I get straight to the point of what I was saying no "well I wanted to wear this but I also want to wear this" or "I wanted to do this but also this" just plain simple say it NO ifs NO buts just straight direct to the point.

@@flamingo3519 Hello! I'm kinda Christian but very much casually (my Dad is more into Christianity than me). Personally, Christian matters never got in the way of the fandom for me, and I'm not sure why it would for you, but there could be more I'm not seeing based on your situation. The calm majority of the fandom is quite friendly and accepting, and if you stick by the right people, you can find friends or at least have healthy online conversation. The internet can still be dangerous at that age (or at any age, IMO), but as long as you're careful, you should be okay. If this is something you really want, I think you should be okay to join the fandom. Out of curiosity, what would be stopping you?

@@flamingo3519 Ah, gotcha. Personally, what I did is just partake in watching videos and learning about animals and the fandom anyway and eventually chose a fursona species for myself. I told my Mom I'm a furry a few years ago, but never used that term in front of my Dad. As a furry, you don't have to come out or justify your personality to anyone, ya know? It's not quite the same as if it were an LGBTQ+ matter. When I told my Mom, she was more confused than anything. I've been working on a fursuit lately, and I just tell my family it's a costume to avoid confusion from using the word "fursuit", but they can definitely tell it's an animal, LOL. If you really want to tell your family, check with your Mom to see what she thinks of the concept. If she doesn't know what it is, you'll prob be okay telling her. At the end of the day, you'll know if your parents aren't pleased with something, but as long as they accept you for yourself, you should be okay. The only thing I can see them being involved in is if you wanted to buy/make a fursuit of your own or go to a convention, and that's only because at your age, they'd prob have to financially support you in those endeavors. TL, DR (Too Long, Didn't Read): Your Mom and any other family members don't have to know that you're a furry if you choose to be. But if you do want to tell them, use your own discretion. If they're decent people, they won't care what you choose to be as long as you are you and you are happy. Personally, I say trust yourself and the rest will work itself out. 😊 And mood with forgetting your own age, I sometimes forget I'm 21. I sometimes still feel like I'm 15, time just flew by too fast. 🤣😭

Tip 1 really inspired me because my brother's would make fun of me and make comments like "At least I'm not a furry" and stuff like that. Thank you so much for inspiring me. I won't let it get to me ❤️

When I first heard about the furry fandom in middle school I was super anti-furry and thought all of the stereotypical things (they think they’re animals, etc…) but in high school I learned more about it and realized they’re actually pretty cool and ended up joining the fandom.

I was never a young fur at one point. I didn't join the furry fandom until I was still 19. I'm currently 21. EDIT- 6:26 P.M.: *finishes video 8 minutes later* However, that didn't stop me from enjoying this video.

@@Ur_localW3ird0 I made my first fursuit by watching a single tutorial and getting the cheapest available foam and fabric. However! That’s not how I would suggest making a suit! Definitely watch plenty of tutorials and get a good idea of how suits are made, how to do lining and furring. And honestly, if you want a tip, do not do the taping with duck tape and plastic wrap. I’d suggest masking tape instead, since it’s easier! And please get quality fur, if you don’t, you’ll regret it later. Maybe wait until Christmas/your birthday and ask family for some nice fur! Let me know if you need tips on anything else!

He’s younger than me so he does it all the time. It’s not an uncommon thing. I won’t tell anyone because it’s just my hobby, and drawing furries is something I like to do. I’m still trying to learn more about this hobby of being a furry. I don’t have any partial animal parts like ears or tails so it’s a bit difficult for me to get anything like that so I can just wear them around in my house just for fun. But also I do identify myself as one so yeah, I was wondering. Can you still be a furry even if you can’t really draw anthropomorphic animals and no partial fur suiting etc all that. I am really into the fandom and dressed up in a fur suit in my online game which I enjoy a lot as being one of my favourite animals.

Yes you can still be a furry, Most of the fandom don't have suits and some cannot draw, To be a furry you just say you are one. there is so many hobbies within this hobbie

This really helped I wrote a lot of things down on paper for at least a year I be watching videos and looking on Google at furry stuff and I'm really getting into it. I tried to make a mask it was hard to make and didn't really come out right but at least I tried. I am making a fursuit design myself it's going to be a racoon because I really like raccoons. Other then that the tips really did help I'm going to find so more tips later rn going to work on the design. BTW love you oc keep up the great work.

Yes that is classed as tracing but it’s ok to trace to learn art but do not post it claiming that you drew it

I’ve actually learned my style by tracing furry art but I never post it because I knew if I did it would be wrong but now I’ve gotten really good at art and improved a lot

Is it ok if I used a hyena skull preference for mine? I have a hard time drawing skulls, especially canines. I added the ears and eyes myself and I added the crystals on pro create.

Yes ik we dont have to "come out" as furries, but it is good being able to talk about it with ppl your close you, and it does have the same stress as coming out! I dont call it coming out, but yes it is a hobby, but it's a lesser hobby that ppl dont really talk about, so we should tell people its better to be ourselves around others anyway :3

I have beem homeschooled up until junior-high and only knew of Furries what my friends told me (and they didn't know anything about TRUE Furries) and from a young age,I have been drawing Furries without even knowing due to an inability to draw people,I just called them 'Cat People' up until junior-high. I thought my creations were cool and allthough I was jealous of kids I was around who could draw people,I still found it unique. I learned to draw people,but I still drew Furries due to me having kind of like a Sunday comic stip I would hang on my locker, making new ones whenever,with Furries as the cast (they were acctually cats,tho I just forgot the name for human-like animals). Thank you for helping me,as with me being Christian,I wasn't sure if this was against my beliefs like LGBTQIA+ people (I still exept them,I have friends who are members of the community.) Now that I know that this is just a hobby,you have helped me with my insecurities and indecisiveness with being in this fandom. I'm still probably gonna be iffy about my family finding out (My siblings will be like 'oh,my gawd what is that?' And my parents be like 'don't Furries do 18+ stuff?' Recently, I have been slowly accepting that I am a furry. Last year, I thought differently about furries. I thought they were weird, and dumb. But after I got some inspiration from other things (have social anxiety, so I dont want to tell what I got my inspiration from) I really thought about it more, and it took time for me to to realize this is what I want it be. I am so glad I have social anxiety, because I would have told some people that dont like furries. I found a friend though, that is cool about it, so I feel much more open to slowly creep out the truth to other people. I truly thank you for making this video, as I really feel better about being a young furry.

Your oc (hunter) is literally a blue wolf/fox with white spots on him. It’s the ultimate furry oc starter pack! (It looks exactly like diamond my first oc when I was 11. If a young fur steals ur design don’t be mad or tell them to change it. Because on ther own time they will. Let them express themselves with whatever they want. Even if it looks like someone Else’s oc.

I loved this video! I'm 11 now and I'm getting a fursuit head from a small maker who doesn't charge much anyway. I know about caring for fursuits so there's no WAY that I'm gonna destroy my fursuit like some kids on the internet. Another thing is, look, I've been in this fandom for over half a year, and I've met some amazing people online but be careful 👍. Next up, my mum said that furries are a "fetish". I carefully explained to her that it's not, it's just a hobby, but I also told her that there is some 18+ stuff. She supports me I guess, but wasn't so keen about the fursuit head lol

As a physically disabled and legally blind furry I joined the fandom when I was fresh out of high school didn’t attend my first con until I was 21 it’s been a great experience I’ve made tons of friends and my family loves coming along with me

I can say that even not being a furry… I said really cringy things when I was 13, like what the heck? Any time I read an old comment, I sit there for a good minute contemplating why I ever said that. But hey, now I’m here after my seventeenth birthday, just before which I managed to make a furry hater back off by being constructive! Ultimately, the conversation ended in this: he threatened me, and I gave a long reply telling him nothing he could say would break me, I don’t care about winning, just that he doesn’t, and that he can feel free to verbally abuse me to see how nothing my response is. He chose to stop engaging. I think I handled it very maturely, too. He was saying incredibly offensive things, I let not one get to me.

Fursuits are expensive because Fursuit makers use a LOT of money on the materials and tools to make it although I don’t have one. If you want to tell people that you’re a furry but you don’t know who to tell, tell someone kinda like my friend, who I’ve been drawing human acting animals for a long time with and I talked to them about furries and they agreed that being a furry is awesome even though we don’t really have suits.

tysm im pretty young and rlly needed this and so i bought foam for and 30 dollars and idk if that is a high price (if it is pls tell me bc i could find cheaper ones, and why i ask that is bc i dont have alot of money at this point and need to find rlly cheap stuff for my fursuit)

I’m almost 12 and I really want to be a furry, because I love the fandom, but my mom is really against furrys, because she thinks it’s all bad, but I know what furrys are, and I’m thinking about getting a partial fursuit when I stop growing and telling her what a furry is, eventually

If u want to buy a fursuit as a young fur my recommendation is to buy one slightly bigger than your height and make sure it’s a partial, if the head seems too big find a bit of foam if something soft then put it in the head while u put it on and it’ll fit better

I made my fursuit head so that I can change the size of it whenever I need too, I just need to detach the ears, cut open the back and open the top, then add more foam and replace the lining (also attach the ears duh)

im 11 years old, and if im going to be honest, many of my friends think furries are weird but I think they are very kind and creative people. i have a lot of items in my cart on amazon to make my fursuit (head and hands) and I'm super excited!

I am a young fur. At nine years old, i became a furry. Then i stoped, because averyone hated furries. But now i am back again, and i am still young!

I’m 12 and I made a fursuit 😂 I am also a furry artist. What am I considered…? A young fur is considered 16? Also I made a fursuit with a lower budget, only made a tail and head, and also I made the head have padding so I can remove it or shave it down when i don’t fit on it anymore

As a young fur myself I already find myself trying to do small things just so that I don’t steal a design on accident for example I have added two small diamonds to my Dino mask design so that I don’t accidentally remake someone else’s design I also make cardboard masks and made one for my brother and I had to redesign my brothers mask to make it unique because he wanted a generic wolf with red eyes and a red scar

4 years later and I’m back down memory lane feels nice…

But if it doesn’t fit you can always sell it or keep it for memory’s

i have been a furry for two years and never even thought about tracing art or taking other peoples fursonas. Its always better if you get skill youtself, because stealing other peoples art/fursona seems a bit empty. You want your fursona to represent you

I was a young fur. I ended leaving because of a lot of things that happened. I ended seeing a lot of things I should've not seen.

I’m younger than 16, but I only use partials. I have 4 elastic Dino masks, each have a tail and a set of paws. I do have many other wip masks, and another fursona I will start working on soon. Thx for the tips!

I was part of the fandom at age 12, and you'll want to know this. Leave. This community is full of horrible people who prey on little kids in the fandom. Happened to me, it'll happen to you. Spend the rest of your childhood doing normal things, and don't fall into this trap of degeneracy

Hey I’m 11 years old and getting a full fursuit this year is that okay I’m a girl and I’m about 4,10 and I’m probs gonna grow to 5,4 is it okay if I make the fursuit abit bigger then 4,10 like 5,0-5,2? So I can keep it for a while Is it okay??

It is ok to have a full suit at any age the only thing to keep in mind there is a chance you will out grow it. But if you get the suit made a little bit bigger that might make it last longer but it really depends how tall you will get

not gonna lie i was one of those people who would make fun of fury’s, today i saw a super cool fursuiter outside! i live in a place that’s pretty boring, this really inspired me and here I am jumping right in :)

If you look good enough, you can find cheap full fursuits, I found one for $10.00, it was brand new without tags on eBay.

As a young fur,I spent 110 pounds on a Dino mask,it wasn’t a hard design and it wasn’t furred,I just found out the horns were made of bluetack and they smashed of :(
