I've always had really bad wrist pain. I tried jumping right into quadrobics and seriously hurt my wrists. Now, almost 3 months later, I started carefully with this tutorial and now I can actually do a quadrobics walk 😭 I am unbelievably proud, no matter how small this achievement may seem to someone else, my joint pain has always limited me
This is literally the best tut i have ever seen! You can see that they spent a lot of time on this tut!
amber, thank you!! you inspired me to tell my parents that im a therian!! and guess what? THEY ACCEPTED ME!! im going to a forest trail tomarrow and my mom is gonna film me doing quads :D (she knows about other therians and that we dont eat animal food/poo in litter boxes)

IM A BIG FANN I'm so happy you posted this !! really helped tysm!! Edit: i also didn't want to copy your form exactly so i only pretty much focused on you info and used a form that felt comfortable with my since I'm pretty in between of high and tall i kind of have to bend my legs a lot and stay in a position that comfortable cause i used to have a lot of back pains b4.
This is a great tutorial!! I just have one small addition/correction, which a LOT of people get wrong. Cantering ≠ galloping/running, they're different gaits. Quadrobics stems from equestrian sports, so quadrobics gaits are actually just horse gaits! The difference is: 2🐾🐾3 / 3🐾🐾2 1🐾🐾2/ 2🐾🐾1

hey, as a beginner therian (I awakened yesterday) whenever I’m doing quads or even a a walk I can only take 2 steps before falling down. I know people say “practice “ or “it takes time” I’m not sure if I’m doing it right or it’s not supposed to tire me. The most steps I have token doing quads is 2 steps. Is this supposed to feel tiring to the point you collapse? I’m really upset.

@@crystalart9536 I have trouble with quads, and it hurts my neck so I have to look down instead of forward. Try bending your knees while doing quads, and move your legs farther back.

@@crystalart9536For me I do not get tired that easy, but I do play sports. I think that’s pretty normal if you have never worked out the muscles used for quads, and it should get easier over time. I would maybe try working out, such as curling weights or something with upper body strength (arms) and legs. Also only being able to go about two steps is normal, at least for me. I can barely do three, and I can’t trot or run. It’s also good to note some people get the hang of it faster, and that it can take more than a month to either build up muscles so you don’t get tired and also get better at quads. I recommend to stretch before and after you practice (like in the video), start on a surface where you can’t fall and hurt yourself( I heard it’s easy on a trampoline), maybe work out, and keep practicing without overworking yourself.

Maybe try on a soft mat or a trampoline so you don’t get hurt?

@@RubyIsntReal7 I have tried that, I don’t have a trampoline, but I use a very soft/firm pillow. It’s just hard for me to do quads now because I don’t have much free time.

Finally someone who tells how to put trotting into a forward motion! I was having alot of trouble before i saw this tutorial
The looking up and quick leg landing actually helped me! When looking up I go higher and when quickly landing with my legs,my knees don't touch the floor! THAT WAS VERY HELPFUL! :D

I started using the claw like hand position that you use and it helps so much. Went from barely being able to walk on carpet to easily walking on hardwood floor! Big motivator!

Very helpful! I can actually walk without kicking my front paws now. I did try to jump and I landed all on my front paw and twisted it but ima work on it again when it stops hurting. Thanks for the tutorial!!!
I can't do Quadrobics because I live in an apartment in the city and I have neighbors downstairs who might be bothered if I jump or run 🥺

For stretches I always do a cat stretch followed by a few arm and leg stretches. ❤

I did the little thing where you stay in an idle form for a bit to get comfortable and the walking tutorial and when I found myself actually improving I actually said “omg, AMBER- you were correct😧”
This is very helpful especially a therian for 2 years that still can’t jump that wall and run well I don’t have a big big backyard tho lol and omg this is so helpful, I wish I knew u irl you seem like a sweet person!

This helped me so much! I’m personally bad at quadrobics, and this saved my reputation as a KZreadr. For me trotting and long jumping came very easily and it was one thing I found easiest, bucking and high jumping however, I still cant buck or jump high when on grass but in trampolines I can do this tut definitely helped me jump higher and be able to buck ^^
