    Interesting how you were able to keep the rear emergency escape door, and the washer/dryer space. Good move ! I like the sliding glass door to the kitchen and living area better than the single door.. Lots of light into the living room. Warm and Cozy. Another winner !

    I like the j-style countertop. I can imagine it wld be a bonus for food prep with that shape counter. I wish a price range was quoted. I think everyone understands actual price is dependent on what is ordered per individual unit but a base cost wld be most helpful to determine one's options and save time.

    It’s mostly dependent on what they think they can get out of you, most places are sold at way over value these days because nobody does their homework and or haggles.

    As I recall, Park Model homes are more expensive than others, although they're probably more luxurious. Seems to me as I remember, these cost over $100 grand. The Serene and Simple channel lady, Linda, bought hers for something like $20 grand, from a different manufacturer.

    I am curious how wide the halls and doorways are. For ‘aging in place’ they would need to be wide enough to push a walker thru or a narrow wheelchair even. Hmm?

    Question, I asked this before and received No Answer... The Ones with Lofts.... Why Don't the Manufactures offer a option to Raise the Loft so that we can have a Full Second Floor? Either Raise it Mechanically or Electrically. Either put the Wall sections you need to add, in the loft or Unfold as it raises... Solid Walls of coarse. Electrical for ceiling lights could plug in to a socket in the lower section and a Interior wall so the room could actually be a room. I would like a Park Model that has a Loft but also would actually want a Second Bedroom/Hobby Room/Guest Room and Not a Crawl Space. I am Too F'n Old, Fat and Out of Shape to be crawling around on the floor.

  • @bellaluce7088

    @bellaluce7088

    Жыл бұрын

    I'm not sure what you mean by a loft you can raise for a full second floor, but I wonder if the answer to your question of why that's not offered is that houses designed to be transported vs. built on site are limited to 14 feet tall or less due to legal road limits (plus physical obstructions like bridges, trees, street lights, etc.). Since the max height has to include the trailer and tires the house is carried on plus the thickness of floor, roof, insulation, etc., there literally isn't room for two full-size floors in houses designed to move.

  • @ravenlorans

    @ravenlorans

    Жыл бұрын

    @@bellaluce7088 Yeah But once on site, You Lift the Loft either Hydraulically or Manually and Put in the Added Wall pieces provided by the Manufacture to raise the Loft and make it a Second Floor... Just Like "Pop Outs" On Campers... Campers can only be so wide, that is why they offer ones with "Pop Outs", so they become Wider once on Site and Parked... Or the "Pop UP' Campers that are only 2ft High ( NOT Including Wheels/Trailer ) and end up being 7ft High Once set up... Do the Same sort of thing for Lofted Trailers.... But with Solid Walls and Not Canvas.. And there are Many 2 Story Houses being/that have been moved, just need Permits and Support Vehicles and $$$$$$ To do it all..

  • @22Catch22

    @22Catch22

    To be classified as a travel trailer, the sq ft limit is 399. Lofts are always bonus space and do not count towards sq ft limits if they don't reach a certain height. You can get higher ceilings in lofts without any problem, but it becomes classified as a house and taxed accordingly as opposed to being taxed as a travel trailer.

  • @ravenlorans

    @ravenlorans

    Жыл бұрын

    @@22Catch22 Or as long as they are not taken off the trailer and can still be permanently set up. Also depends on IF they are in City Limits or not. I am Outside City Limits and have NO restrictions ( or codes for that matter ) on what I build. I could add a second floor to my camper or even a third floor and it not count to Square Footage. Just like in NY, You are limited to a 10x10 Base... But on First Floor Only! That is why you see people building 10x10's and the second floor is Larger. Still meets (their) Codes... Saw that on a Episode of "This Old House"...
