Did you ever figure out what was the problem? Or did Tineco replace it under warranty?

I figured it out. The motor is stuck. You need to dissemble the motor and manually rotate the fan back in forth using a screw driver. Eventually the spin will come and be super loud.

Hi all together. I had a similar issue with 2 Tineco A11 and was able to solve it today. I have disassembled the motor and checked them. The first one had a very dirty mainboard. The dust led to a short circuit. After cleaning everything was ok. The 2nd one had broken wire between one of the coils and the mainboard. After soldering and cleaning it's working fine

Same issue here. Spoke w/ customer service. She said sounds like a motor issue. Said they can send a replacement motor, without a new battery or the accessories for $89. The new motor comes with a two-year warranty. Not sure I want to buy in to the same problem.

My 27mo old A11 did exactly the same thing. Troubleshooting proved both batteries were fine and fully charged. The problem was the two 470uf 35v start-up capacitors on the motor control board had failed. Replaced them and the vacuum runs & charges like new. The control board is attached to the top of the motor so the whole head has to be disassembled; not a terrible job though. Be sure to use the same low profile caps that are in there. 1st bought Panasonic thinking they'd be higher quality than the OEM but they were too tall to fit. Had to go with Chinese knock-offs. $6 for 10pcs on Amazon.

It is designed not to run when the prefilter and dustbin compartment isn't attached to keep dirt from going into the motor. It's in the Owners Manual.

Also, the Manual says never to hold the vacuum head upside down after or while you have removed the filters for cleaning. I noticed too that there was no HEPA filter in the compartment behind the motor in your vacuum. It could be that your motor is clogged up with vacuumed dirt. There should be a MAX (maximum) marking on your dustbin to let you know that accumulation of dust shouldn't go high enough to spill over into the motor chamber. The dustbin really doesn't hold a lot and needs to be changed often on bigger cleaning jobs.

@@koningklootzak7788 yes, unfortunately the only way to test the capacitor is to remove it completely ( as far as I know ) you need to set your multimeter to capacitance measured by Farads and basically whatever it says on the side of the capacitor is the reading you should get. Be careful with capacitors they hold charge and could zap you, try to ground them first.. look at a video tutorial from KZread. Also those capacitors have polarity, one side is negative and the other positive make sure to connect accordingly

This is a motor problem. If you look at the way the vacuum is set up there’s essentially a giant open hole directly above the dust bin. Therefore, if you don’t empty this vacuum frequently or keep it upside down for extended periods of time you risk getting dirt into the motor which will clog it & stop it from functioning. MAJOR design flaw on Tinecos end… Atm I’m in the same exact boat. I emailed Tineco & they shipped me out a new battery which didn’t fix anything. I will now attempt to take apart the motor & dislodge it by hand@@myNEONCITY
