Clogged Tineco Pure One | What Went Wrong

Ғылым және технология

At first glance, the typical user couldn't really see any evidence of a clog. Now the owner of this Tineco will have a video showing how to disassemble and clean this vacuum.

    Your video was very helpful. I learned two things, one is that I don't have to open the bin to clean out the filter. And, secondly, I should always be checking airflow before I begin vacuuming. Unfortunately, I have a multitask power brush roller with a badly soiled plastic cover. I am trying to figure out how to clean it. Thanks.

    The suckiest thing about all stick vacs that aren’t a Dyson (as they have really good prefilter cyclone systems) is this- this pre filter needs to be cleaned every two canister dumps. So, 1/3rd of of my use of this otherwise wonderful tineco vacuum is cleaning the pre filter. I thankfully have a model that includes the “filter cleaner” which basically swaps dirt between your two filters it comes with. It’s laughable, but it works.

    Yes we find that the filter cleaner works surprisingly well, most of the dirt actually ends up in the basket not on the other filter. If you use it more than once on each filter they BOTH get cleaner.

  • @Javi_Lacking
    @Javi_Lacking3 жыл бұрын

    This is why cordless stick vacs need a good cyclone system more than even a full-sized machine. People who use cordless vacs often like your friend do so for the convenience, and having to wash the filter more often than once a month doesn't cut it. I don't know why Tineco opted for basically nothing beyond the steel shroud in terms of finer cyclonic action (even though they include their bizzaro filter cleaning attachment) - even my cheapo Eureka Stylus has a decent dual cyclone setup.

    The filters inevitably gradually clog up over time and eventually cannot be cleaned, so getting them as clean as new is basically impossible. Still, brushing off the outside, and soaking them in warm water for a few hours really, really helps, as does rinsing off the outside with warm water, and then drying thoroughly.

  • @VacLab

    I've never encountered a filter that couldn't be cleaned and mostly brought back to useful life. And I've made a large number of videos proving this over the years.

    @@VacLab Well, we frequently used the Tineco cleaning device, we washed them thoroughly, but in the end (after several years), we still got the blocked indication. Then we got new filters and the blocked indication went away. Filters do have a finite (if long) life when properly taken care of. Presumably eventually enough debris gets tangled into the filter and it won't wash out.

  • @VacLab

    @VacLab

    It's possible you may be over-using this vacuum. The original owner still has this machine and is still using the original filter. Stick vacs should only be used for small, infrequent sessions and never as a substitute for a full power upright or canister. In the worst cases of abuse, which I see frequently, the filter must be submerged in a mild detergent for up to 24 hrs, then quick dried with heat or direct sunlight. I've made many videos showing this procedure.

I've been trying to get up to work and from the looks of it, it just seems like the filter that goes in the bottom just clogs up really easily. Like insanely easy. Either that or my carpet just has so much dust in it that after vacuuming it for only a few minutes it clogs it up.
