@Sideways G thing is most good looking people are also just human. Yeah there is a few shallow good looking people but most are just human with their own personalities, their own good and their own bad sides. So generally they just bring one more thing to the table that someone who isn't good looking just cannot bring. ( mostly I'm talking facially as most people can easily change other aspects of their body ). Yes being comfortable enough with yourself and not putting all of your value as a human being in your looks is important. But so is being real with yourself. And just accepting that we as humans have biases. And although there is more and more ways to meet friends and maybe love interests through internet anonymously the fact is that most people will still want to see what you look like. It's just human nature, we are superficial. Even without society we base a lot on looks. And sometimes society makes it worst. I think owning it and just being you no matter what you look like is good but I know what kind of hell it puts you through and I just cannot ask of someone going through that to just toughen it up and accept it. Neither can I lie to them and tell them that most people don't care about your looks
