My last one of this model died after at least 10 years, I am thinking 15 years. I used this watch for my employment of outside work, working on car or my home. Wore out two wrist bands. It was in rain, snow, dust and mud. You can count on it for a long time of hard use. It lasted longer than my marriage. Just got my new one delivered about an hour ago. Thin is the full manual was missing and I used this video to remind me how to make some settings. And yes the "chime" marks the new hour as I recall. Never used chime function.

For anyone that just found this video. This watch is my GOTO work watch. Excellent value. Works great. The Only thing to be cognizant about is; when changing the battery. Be gentle removing that shield properly OR the backlight will stop working. GREAT watch. Love it.

Super tough watch. 1st battery lasted 5 years. It's been in 14 time zones.

Only video that helped me turn off the alarms on my dads watch lol he was so annoyed of his watch going off and I literally had to look up this KZread video to figure it out so thanks 😂

I LOVE Timex watches! John Cameron Swayze did not lie--best watch! I have been wearing the Expeditions for decades. The night light will quit, but the watch will not.and at their price, I have several of them. Change time zones? Change the watch and not the time! Fun! John would be proud! Hn

I've had a timex ironmman for 10 years and still ticking along. Only gripe I have is the bands don't last very long. You can get factory replacements for around $12, but I went with a NATO style nylon strap. It's held up much longer.

I really liked the demonstration of full-on night mode. I only wish it were a bit longer, so I could see how many seconds the indigo light stays on. If you were trying to take a pulse reading in the dark, being able to see your watch uninterrupted for 15 seconds would be important. That, and/or a 15 second countdown timer. Thank you for such a good video.

The water resistance rating on watches is always without pressing any buttons or manipulating the crown under water. The seals are only designed to withstand the water when left alone.

I loved my watch I have 2 of the same model. Unfortunately one of them died so I purchased another, It got into an incident with a campfire and it melted the clear peice that covers the front but the actual watch part was fine so I switched them around and its been going strong for 2 years

Great watch. In some ways better than the Ironman. Not as thick, easier to push buttons.The Ironman has mineral crystal and it's 200m wr whereas this one has plastic and is 100m.

There is an expedition model that is 200 metre water resistant and has a mineral crystal.

Do you set time 2 to GMT / ZULU.

How did you change the day of week?

You can push buttons under water it will be fine just if you play with it under water after a while it will break

Have you been having issues with the compass? I just bought one today and the compass sometimes reads correctly and sometimes it doesn't. That was the big selling point for me because I'll be using it for work. Am I the only one with this issue?

Press the stop button and hold the button to reset.

Press "set". Have it back to 0:00 by pressing "mode" to say "hide". Then press "stop/reset" and "start".

See one for $20 like what I see don't need it probably will pass but I like the larger than average display and indiglo .
