What a great story Kate Winslet. Thank you for sharing your path as an actor. I myself am an aspiring actor and I had one role as a background actor and I was ecstatic just from being in the background. Its great to hear stories from successful people like yourself because we get so involved in the roles you play versus how you got there and how you continue. We dont see the auditions you didnt get. We only see the ones you do get and you do a fabulous job so thank you. You're inspiring me to persevere.

I really admire her, specially that way she talks of her family. great Kate! you are a wonderful actress

There are two types of fans in world first is one sided known or selfish fan they want to know and attracted by only by their their personality, good image, successfulness and money power For example the celebrity's millions of unknown fans and second is both side known or gunine fans they known from their begining to end of celebrity's life personally and they even know before their success how much they struggle and suffer in their life socially, mentally, physically and financially for example their parents, relatives and some close friends

Honestly, I think it takes a certain connection towards their character in order to have any emotion at all. Being angry/happy/excited is easy but being vulnerable and having to show such a precious emotion in front of a handful of people behind the camera takes so much effort to be in the moment and when you're in the moment and you feel what this character is feeling, it's almost as if you've sort of become a part of whoever you're playing. It's absolutely amazing!

The feeling many of our great actors share is a deep empathy and fascination for the human story. Very few have a fixation on "stardom". And it's a shame that the movie industry has created such a horrible thing as celebrity. Because the art and craft of acting has nothing to do with the industry of blockbuster films or winning awards. It's all about the craft and sharing the results of serious intent and hard work. I can't wait for Iron Man, uh what is it now, IV? Jesus. While many of the world's small stage acting studios disappear because society spends all its money on droolingly stupid comic book garbage for entertainment, we will end up with a completely artificial understanding of our human condition. So go support the arts at the ground level. Find a theater that puts on real plays with actors who brave the expression of acting in front of a live audience. It will bring you closer together, bring you closer to yourself too.
