I was talking with my son yesterday and he said I could find this on youtube. This sure brings back memories! I was the sub pianist for toot suite and was tech director on the original 3do version of the game. 3do paid for the band to do a recording session in return for the rights to use the songs in the game. I got inspired and wrote (and sang) the title song. As they say, the evil men do lives after them....

So this is it? Someone who made my childhood memories so scary playing this wonderfull game is commentating this video?! Well thank you for the work you and your band have done in this game! I never knew I would one day chat with one of THE band haha. But I wonder, you said you sang the title song so, are you the one we hear singing in this video?

It was an amazing time to start computer games. My youth. How quickly time flies.

This song started playing in a dream of mine, coming from a tv, with the zoomed in picture of the chef with the clowns head.

Larry Reed did an amazing job on the music for this game! I remember when he played it for me I couldn't believe it was him singing and that he wrote it! I was blown away. Not bad for the Technical Director of the game!

Music from this gem is up there with tomb raider and shadow of the colossus. Good memories.

Good news, Nightdive just announced they’re doing one!

Man, I wish the game was titled something similar to "Time Trapped Isle." I'm guessing they decided the title needed to be more visceral like Doom, Heretic, Quake, etc. Alas! "Killing Time" could be a clever spin, of course, but the cover asks you to take it at face value.

It's funny, the PC version sucked ass in every aspect when compared to the 3DO version. I wonder what went wrong in the persons head for them to think it was best to remake and re-release the game for PC with worse graphics, altered audio files, and no legitimate strafe support. Why not just port the original game directly to PC with keyboard/mouse compatibility? The emulator versions are broken and the free torrent versions for dosbox are a waste of time. Now the best way to play this game is to find a cheap (but in good shape) 3DO and buy a legitimate copy of Killing Time? Good luck with that.

Well, here’s hoping Nightdive’s upcoming remaster, which also allows you to change between the sprites from the 3DO and PC versions fixes those issues. For years, the only solution was a fan patch that only worked on the GOG version, not Steam like pretty much anybody would use.
