Depends on your position. But since you’re 5’10 I assume you’re not a Center back so you don’t need to be 195lbs. Maybe consider being more leaner for optimal football performance
Strength is really important too , there are plenty of playing style practice and find your best I’m 6’6 striker ain’t no way I can move like 5’7 person
It wouldn’t matter to much in non league, in fact it makes more sense being a tad bigger in non league, it’s far more rough than professional football

Yeah Thats true I am a Sunday league centre back you dont need to pass and drible just clean the danger and smack it forward
Great video.
Great information 👍
Eric Sir, I support your statement cuz working out is more of a lifestyle thing. I do workouts at gym 3-5 times a week. And also handling technical sessions with some agility and acceleration and plyometrics + core also movements and activations at end of the week. I do workouts that engage back, shoulder (once), Legs, Chest. I don't use heavy load for biceps or tricep. I tone them just to be in proportion. And also, on days I train the myofacial for at least 5 minutes for 1-2 days in the morning. I am doing this because I'm very much thin and underweight. So, it's not just aesthetic. I do the explosive drills and endurance as well. I don't like to be thst kind of extreme bodybuilder. Even if I don't make it, just the fitness of a footballer. I'm doing this because my chances are narrow(even for the best). So, I listen to your words to know something worse can happen if train like that. What's your take,Ric? Please answer, love from India.
Love your vids man.I just got back from an 8 month injury and my teamates have made progress that I didnt got amy tips on how I can improve to catch up to them?

You need a lot of training outside your regualr training-sessions. It depends what you need. If you need stamina it is very easy to get it outside of the team-training.

I want to get stronger in shoulder to shoulder battles bc I’m weak compared to others in my team what could I do to change that
@lovbob8656

Training your shoulders isn't gonna help you, because the force that you generate in "shoulder against shoulder" duels, comes from your legs. So trainging your explosiveness and training the power in your legs, and doing a lot of shoulder against shoulder drills against your friends (to get the technique down, and increase the power your legs can produce) is what you should focus on if you want to improve in shoulder against shoulder duals; not by training your shoulders just because the shoulders are making contact in the dual.

can you do a video on how to be physical as a small player
@CanYouHandleThis
10 ай бұрын
A lot of it is an aggressive mindset and balance. In terms of small physical players, look at players like sterling, mascherano, kante! In football too, if you have better balance than the tall guy, you will generally hold him off the ball.
@Pnsbcor

Train core for better balance and strong legs and learn how to use your body effectively
"3 ways" proceeds to give 4
You can train body too if you’re way too skinny I mean I’m a pretty fast player but I can’t challenge someone in physical even tho I’m faster than them they will just push me
And what about just kicking a ball and running ED does to your glutes,quads,hams and calves,heart and lungs ,blood flow?!?
Bro said 3 ways and gave 4. Nice tips though.

Why footballers do fast reps opposed to bodybuilders?
@bentoothpaste8849
10 ай бұрын
football is all about explosive movements, so they try to do the concentric movement faster to transfer the force developed to the field. ultimetly do it at whatever speed u want, but a "fast" yet controlled concentric movement and a slow and controlled eccentric movement is usually better
What about Centre backs
@huseroland
9 ай бұрын
Be as explosive as you can be! Lots of plyometrics. Need some extra muscle though, but make sure they are for function instead of sheer size. Being tall is an advantage too, but guys like Lisandro Martinez, Ake or Azpilicueta shows that there are exceptions out there.
that's soccer
dont listen to him i mean look at ronaldo

Hence, this coming from you was unexpected and shocking. Couldn't like this video because of such a problematic statement.
