Niall Myant-Best picks up on the headlines from a very tight Leg 3, as Team Malizia and Team Holcim-PRB duel to be the first boat to pass Cape Horn! Meanwhile, the rough conditions over the past few days have taken their toll - not only on the boats, but on crew members as well.

Congrats to Team Malizia - first around the Horn.
Thanks Niall, for another excellent report. Deep respect to all the sailors out there, giving it their all. Well done to Team Malizia for reaching Cape Horn in first position after bein 600 miles behind at one stage. Stay Safe folks.
Heartiest congrats to Rosie - it‘s wonderful to see you laughing and being on your feet again - and to Crew MALIZIA. It‘s great to see your spirit, to see your fantastic videos. Surely you‘re a great team, taking care for each other in the best imaginable way. However, let us also think of the other teams and wishing them also well and wishing them and their vessels to remain without further damages. No matter who will score the most points in the end - you are all winners and fine models of being just of one Nation, I.e. the Nation of Human Beings, good sports, and of Sailors 👏👏⛵️❤️

As I said in a previous comment and someone has to cross the line first, but irrespective of who that is, they all deserve to be standing side by side on the podium as equal winners, collectively, as teams and as individuals 👏👏👏 Stay safe guys
"The Breath of the Ocean." This has to be the Quote of the Race - Delivered by Captain Hermann when surfing massive waves rising up under then hull and then surging them forward in the Southern Ocean

I loved that too
Niall's out did himself on this latest update, with interview's and knowledge of the Cape Horn rounding. We pray that Rosie is resting *( if possible ) and that her concussion will not jeopardize Team Malizia in any form, as she is the strength behind their first place rounding of the Horn. Hopefully the weather will improve northward to Brazil and all will arrive safely. A huge Thanks to Niall's for this absolutely brilliant episode on a sport which is both physically and mentally grueling.
This is a thrill seeking, nail biting finish for the Horn Trophy and it could be anyone’s guess. Malizia has done a great job to get the lead and they Holcim is not going to give any leeway and will capitalise on any mistakes made. This is the F1 of yacht racing we’re watching at present and they are great competitive teams totally focused on the mission of notching another milestone in the overall race. Stay safe guys as we all care for your wellbeing
My favourite episode yet, from the Cape Horn hype opening to the quiet sailing shot at the end. Epic one
Go Malizia!! 🎉🎉🎉
The illustrations, interviews, drone footage and updates are exceptional. Each team has it's own limitations and challenges. Race down beside Chile to Cape Horn, weathering the varying wind gusts and sea fare. Next phase will be to round the cape heading north. Posing different weather systems, currents and sea fare. New challenges.
Brilliant update again, every day a school day (windward pitchpole ouch). Will is such an asset to Boris and this race, great teamwork.
Antoine from Malizia is doing an awesome job with the drone footage!
These are how all Ocean racing videos should be. Great job.
Niall and team. A really great video insertion to show the "impact" of burying the bow in the wave ahead; it clearly shows the danger of a jibe. This video is a must to show the charm and danger of Cape Horn to the crews and boats. Oh, how I would prefer an OMOCA 60 to the Volvo 65!
Best kept adventure secret on the web..good job!
This report is made very professional, informativ and exciting
Thank you OR media team for a great job with the OR reports, illustrations and animations. Big shout out to Niall who, as always, did an excellent job presenting it and bringing the challenges, motions and emotions into my living room. To the teams out there: stay safe and a speedy recovery Rosie!
There are so many DIY and boat building channels in KZread. This is the only one where you can learn laminating and sewing on the water. The boats look like swimming workshops.😂
I have watched every single day of the ocean race report! I have so much respect for every crew member on every IMOCA. Best wishes for Rosalin Kuiper from team Malizia, hope you’re recovering well! May the best boat win this leg but for me you all are hero’s. And compliments for the excellent reports every day! I look forward for the days to come and see you in Scheveningen hopefully F2F. Keep on pushing!
Thanks for this outstanding explanations of the details as well as the personal moments aboard the fleet. Wish all of them fair winds, good luck and a safe rest of the leg!

And great animations at your table!!!! Very nice and informative.
Every ocean race show is amazing, thanks Niall and all the team behind the race. And congratulations team Malizia, you deserve it. Here we go Itajaí.
Ocean Race film editor: That initial sequence of interviews on Cape Horn was soooo good. Your sense of pacing and music choices are so fitting, super precise. I really look forward to each film to admire the work. And what you have to work with is so amazing! 🎉🎉🎉❤
Hi Niall, this is a great account of what must be the pinnacle of all sporting challenges. And the drone work is exceptional. When all is over, I’m sure many viewers will enjoy hearing about the On-board Reporters, their training and their gear. I would love to have frequent updates on our dear Rosie - we worry for her.
So amazing to see what these sailers must endure in these conditions. Also amazing is morgen technology and the skilled reports that brings this great adventure right into our living rooms. I can't even say how much I appreciate this👍🙏
I’m loving this race. The characters in the crew. Heal quick Rosie!
Superb coverage of this remarkable leg of sailing!
Thanks a lot for the brilliant and involving reporting from Niall that helps us guys and gales at home on the sofa to stay in close touch with the teams out there in remote places and to better understand the technicalities and challenges they have to face and overcome!
what coverage of a great event , world beating I would say ...well done
What an absolutely first class report, well done sir..... marvelous editing and detailing ❤
Exceptionally good reporting, great work Niall & team
Tanks for the update Niall
A great show again, thank you so much for all the details and explanations
"Teaching Kevin Escoffier that he can be beaten." Ouch! 🔥🔥🥵
Another incisive report. Well done. Thank you. 👏👍
Hard to imagine spinning out flying down a wave causing an unplanned gybe! So scary! Amazing the wasn’t more damage.
Bienvenidos al Cabo de hornos y a Chile..buena suerte y viento a favor
There is going to be another park up before Itajai that will affect the standings. There should be points awarded at the Horn.

There is a trophy ;)
...it`s so impressing...
Simplesmente espetacular!!!!
Fantástico, muito legal.
Realmente desafiador
The competition broke up in two competitions just before Cape Horn. The competition for first, and the competition to get third. Very tough for Biotherm and 11 Hour Racing to get trapped in almost no wind. Especially for Biotherm that sort of hit the brake. In front Holcim just will not let Malizia get away. About an hour behind like a shadow, waiting for mistakes or for areas where Holcim will do better than Malizia. Tough competition for thousands of miles.
I think this edition of the Ocean Race is doing an excellent job on reporting on the progress of the IMOCA fleet with excellent "almost real time reporting", but i feel the reporting on the fleet of the other ocean race boats is lagging behind quite a bit.
Poor Rosalin. That looked pretty bad. Glad to see her smiling though.
Watching the tracker, I have a nagging feeling that Holcim is playing with Malizia. Feeling them out. Picking a time to strike. Like a shark.

As stated, Malizia's bow is better suited for rough conditions and Holcim doesn't what to break the boat. No games here just safety. Both captains know the race will begin again as they round the cape. Go Malizia!

I liked the design pre race of Malizia. It should have given her an advantage after 15 to 20 degrees south after the equator. The climate did not play ball. Also, the start in Cape Town was flukey, which cost her dearly. It could have been a great breakaway earlier on, if normal weather patterns had prevailed .She will have a hard time going up the South American coast, due to her pointing ability, looking at the weather synopsis. Her next big break, is the Trans Atlantic up north.Loving the footage onboard her and the rest of the race in general. Hats off to the content managers, better than GP. Pity about the wareiness😢
🎉
Is the OBR of maliza allowed to help since Rosi is out of order?
Why don’t they have another foil on the front to keep the nose above the waves ?
How is Rose?
👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥
does holcim have a OBR?? Their content appears to be MIA
♥️🇿🇦‼️👍🏻
What is that thing that he has in his mouth at 11:41?

Should be the autopilot remote control.
Sail powered submarine 😂
talk about the wrong boat for the race..... also.....anyone remember back when sailors, not computers drove the boats. If this was done in Formula1 racing, we do realize that the cars would literally not have a steering wheel. Computer would do all the turns and steering
