Yoda trained Dooku, then Dooku trained Qui-Gon, then Qui-Gon trained Obi-Wan, who then trained Anakin, who trained Ahsoka, and now Ahsoka is training Sabine. That is very much a long line of non-traditional Jedi.

No sane parent would expose their child to Chopper. He wouldn't hurt the child, but who knows what the child might learn from that psychopath. Part of Sabine's frustration is that she watched Ezra learn this stuff ridiculously fast because he has a lot of natural talent. "Long line of unorthodox Jedi": count Dooku trained Quigon who trained Kenobi who trained Anakin who trained Asoka. All were more combat-focused than other Jedi, all butted heads with the council. I love the moment when Ahsoka went out with the lightsabers. She and Anakin did crazy stuff like that in Clone Wars.

Did you guys notice that during her saber training, the holograms she was swinging through looked like rolled up tatami mats that were used to test katanas

This episode really gave me Clone Wars and Rebels vibes it was short but worth it

I assumed the droid was simply connected to the ship systems in order to scan and was hit by the power surge when the ship got damaged, not that he was directly hit

I'd kill to see y'all react to Andor, honestly one of the best written Disney+ shows and the best SW show for sure.

More like his deduction skills and attention to details most people of comparable rank dont have in the Empire. With those skills he was able to find where the rebel bases were located, how to tare down their defenses, and how to mentally manipulate people. If it werent for a literal hail mary from Ezra, Thrawn would have won.

Huyang was connected to the ships systems when a clean shot caused a power surge that shorted him out. Also the "sky whales" are actually space whales called Purrgil. They naturally fly through hyperspace and that's how people learned how to do it. Kinda like how benders learned how to use their powers from animals and nature. Ezra used the Purrgil to take him and Thrawn into a different galaxy, and that's why everyone is looking for them now.

For reference, Jacen is the son of Hera and Kanan, the Jedi who was sort of the leader of the rebel crew Sabine and Ezra were part of. He trained Ezra, and actually was able to beat some well known characters.

So Ezra and Hera relationship is like mother and son.

12:35 Yeah, these are Purgils *Space Whales* they were introduced in Rebels! In the beginning of Space travel in Star Wars, they learn how to use the Hyperdrives by watching the Purgils, since they have the ability to do that. In the final season of Rebels, Ezra used the Purgil to defeat Grand Admiral Thrawn's fleet aince he kept out smarting the Rebels. Ezra used the force to communicate to the Purgil and they all went to the different galaxy. Which is basically whwre their traped in currently.

@@theawesomeman9821 from my perspective it's not wrong for her to be "force sensitive" because being one doesn't mean that you get Telekinesis like all the Jedi and Sith, it just means that you can have more... extraordinary abilities than the rest of living beings... Like better senses or physical abilities beyond of what is possible to her species. Mandalorians have a pretty utilitarian way of life and culture, even the New Mandalorians (the pacifists like Satine) had this kind of mindset which even reflected on their architecture (a lot of square buildings with very simple designs). So it is my personal believe (Headcanon) that Sabine's inclination towards Art and her capacity to easily find meaning and patterns withing it it's actually her own way of manifesting the force. It would be a lot more tricky to make her an actual Force User (Telekinesis, mind tricks and all that Jedi stuff) because if they actually go with Ahsoka's explanation of the Force and how it works in Episode 3... then they would be retconning the established rules of it. Like for example.... If truly EVERYONE can be a Force User by just having the right training then why the Jedi Order didn't have waaaay more members during the Clone Wars? Why go to remote corners of the Galaxy to pick up children if they could have just pick all the children available in Coruscant and train them to use the force and eventually help in the War? The established lore before this point all indicates that actual Full Force Users are incredibly rare... And Sabine has never been hinted to be one even when she had her training with Kanan (another Jedi).

@@BlackBurrito9073 I didn't get from that conversation that Ahsoka was telling Sabine that she could use the force like a traditional Jedi. Only that that the force was something that she did have in her and a connection to. That she can use it but it doesn't mean she can use it the same way as Ahsoka. That is why Ahsoka told her it requires "talent". One can take that to mean one has to be able to already be able to use the force but based on what she said to Huyang she doesn't expect Sabine to use the force like a Jedi. Ahsoka wants her to find her own connection to the force and use her own talents. At least that is what I got from it.

You guys gotta watch Clone Wars and Rebels even if it’s in your own time. Some of the best Star Wars ever.

Ezra (the person they are looking for) had used the force to get a bunch of purgil to wrap around him and thrawn in a star destroyer to send them and that's what sabine was talking about. also you could see one in mando season 3

The puurgirl are what inspired the hyperdrives in space ships. Because old sace saliors saw them eat some wierd ooze and they jet off into space at hyperspeed. And the ooze they eat is the main component's of hyperdrive fuel

The Ahsoka & Sabine scene your talking about from Rebels already happened before Sabine started her training with Ahsoka what we seen last episode was a nod to that.

You guys should definitely watch a recap of rebels on your spare time just to get the most important parts.

Marrok possibly being Starkiller seamed more plausible after this episode because his voice sounded a lot like Sam Witwer who voiced Starkiller and likeness was used for the character. Witwer also voiced Emperor Palpatine in various other video games, and Maul in the Clone Wars animated series.

7:14 Well, he's refering to the the chain of Jedi mentors that Ahsoka came from. Yoda trained Count Dooku, Dooku ended up becoming Sith. He also trained Qui-Gon, who didn't agree with the Jedi, because he wanted to follow the ways of the force, which sometimes went against the Jedi Council and some of the traditions. He trained Obi-Wan, who was in the middle, but always try to follow Jedi traditions. Obviously you guys know he trained Anakin Skywalker who was basically not a traditional Jedi lol, but also was seen was a hero more than a Jedi. Finally, Anakin trained Ahsoka, who left because she didn't want to deal the Jedi's hypocritical shenanigans, and here we are with Ahsoka now training Sabine. Hope this makes sense

For context in rebels Ezra connected with the Purgills and they grabbed onto thrawns star destroyer with ezra and thrawn on board. Then jumped into hyperspace getting ezra/thrawn to wherever they went. That is why they are excited to see them

A being that is Force Sensitive does not at all have to be a Force User. Force Sensitive people are those of exceptional "Luck", "Insight", "Talent", or "Touched by Fate". These are characters like Han, Sabine, Wedge, Lando, Din Djarin, Phasma. The Force is in all living things, and only the MOST connected can actively Control, Sense, or Alter the Force. Everyone else lives in it to greater or lesser degrees. We been wingwalking starships with a lightsaber as a extra shield ever since the D6 West End Games SWRPG 35 years ago. That's what you do!!

I’m an absolute sucker for awesome training scenes, and this might become one of my favorites! Not only does it feel like so many classic samurai films, it also proves that Ahsoka isn’t training Sabine to be a Jedi, but a better version of herself. As for the Senate committee, as much as I hate the old trope of “there isn’t enough evidence to support your crazy theory”, how many times throughout modern history has this happened, where a majority government officials either don’t believe or don’t WANT to believe a long believed dead or weakened enemy has come back? Still seeing Jacen talking with Mama Hera about AUNT Sabine made my heart melt! Also, Ahsoka going out into space to fight starfighters with just her lightsabers is exactly the crazy ass thing Anakin would do with Ahsoka if you’ve seen Clone Wars! 🤞🤞these guys see Clone Wars and Rebels someday!

Very much late to the party here, but I especially liked the form training. Lightsaber combat is a fun rabbit hole to go down. Hoping we get to see more of that lore added back to canon. For instance, the reverse grip Ahsoka uses is a paired form called Shien (blaster bolt defense) and Djem So (saber engagements).

Excited to see this reaction and your contiuined reaction to the series would love an andor reaction keep up the great content

dawg turbo lasers are hella common and they ain’t that powerful or cool. every cruiser or warship has them. they’re like the big naval guns you see on ships. Point-defense cannons aka laser canons are anything small like the weapons on shuttles or fighters. they’re also used on naval ships or any large freighter for defense against fighters. ion cannons are special cannons used to disrupt power/technology

There's also another category which doesn't identify as jedi/grey jedi/sith......it's called FORCE WIELDERS
