This is an absolutely fantastic series, which I'd never seen before. And man am I hooked. I've been watching for the past two weeks and I can't get enough. It's a shame that the series was cancelled in 2014, but with 20 years of episodes to catch up on, I won't have withdrawal symptoms (as I had with HISTORY COLD CASE) to worry about for the foreseeable future. Thanks for posting this great series.

They brought some of the cast back and have just recently posted the first episode. Stewart, John, Matt, Helen, and Carenza are back

Shouldn't have said "cast" because they are accomplished in their fields and they aren't acting. My apologies

@@TheFarajaka I just tell people that “some of their favourite Original Time Time Members are back at work on the ‘new’ series” - I finished my degree in cultural anthropology and historical archeology ~ 3 years before Original Time Team’s final season, and I still think of these people as both leaders in my field, and proper television stars ⭐️ . :) I think it’s ok for “people accomplished in their field” - like these guys- to also be famous “TV stars” - I love it when historians etc. are well liked and famous and Held in High Regard - rather such skilled people who promote this study be lifted up than plenty of other “actors” out there ;)

Terrific show. Thanks for posting them,
Thank you Tony your show rates very high on my favorites list.
Love watching Phil do rowing!
Victor is an amazing talent!!
Thanks for your posts!! Keep 'em coming, please!!
Beric was wonderful. Definitely one of my favourite characters :)
I loved how Tony shafted a dig at Mick just after 42:??ish talking about .... everybody's grandparents or in Mick's case, his parents," when Tony is only 2 weeks younger than Mick. The geezer! Love him😘
Thank You so much Reijer.... I actually met Mick in a market in Santorini, or I should say Thira back around 2000. Brilliant Mate Just brilliant,, Mark in the Caribbean.
Thank you for your time and efforts to share this once so popular series, Channel4 saw off the branch they sat on... Well, c'est la vie.
It's a shame that Time Team ended up getting the ax in 2014. There's no television show like it that I know of, and we may never see its like again. That said, though, even if the show somehow gets renewed with the same title, format and people, it's not Time Team without the late Professor Mick Aston.

It’s definitely not the same - and it isn’t just because Professor Aston has passed! However, I recommend that you check out the New Digs that year 2022 Time Team has carried out. I think the 3 day shows for each dig has felt more like some of the better “Specials” done by the Original Team, the spirit of historical archeology For The People is still there, and, while there are great times with old familiar faces, it’s really great to see “the next generation” carrying on the work in the way that Professor Aston and other greats taught us to care about it!

the voice-over from the new timeteam I realy don't handle, terrible
Can you imagine entertaining two thousand people in your Castle for a couple of weeks? The expense! The number of people to cook serve and clean! The cost!
Of all the experts on Time Team, Dr. David Neal ranks with those at the top. Also, Victor is great. I love the vase he decorated for the Josiah Wedgewood segment.

07, was a terrific episode.
I totally loved the diving team portion of the documentary for the Spanish Armada wreaks.
Thank you so much, these are fascinating. Do you plan on loading any hard-to-find Lucy Worsley docs? 🌼💜
Tony, terrific black leather jacket at the mint!!!
I so miss the series, but then I don't think there's much of Britain they hadn't dug up by the end...😁

They're all so much younger in this one!!!
First aired December 13, 2002.
'In-depth search' also takes on a wholly new meaning, doesn't it?
It's always wise to be cautious ⚠️
Watching every episode, going on the ages of everyone, does anyone know how old Phils hat is? He's a fairly young man at the beginning. Curiosity and cats...

There is a Time Team episode in about 2000 where Phil got a new hat because he realised the old one was disgusting, but it didn’t take long for the new old to look old!

I'm not sure how old Sir Tony is, but I am a 78-year-old woman and I could no longer run with him ... nor climb steep embankments.

Full empire would really be from defeat of Napolian, till just after WWII. Then it fell apart.
my video is stopped for buffering but I see 7 people standing around with one woman in the hole digging...maybe this was the British car industry, the former industry? anyway, I like it :)
