Looks like tee-pees of the kind American Indians used. They were also Hunter gatherers.

One of my favorite episodes ... here we are, blown away by the stunning detail and beauty of 11 pounds of imported gold and garnets from Sri Lanka, and we're still being taught that this was "The Dark Ages" - filled with warring stupid people who didn't write anything down or buld anything substantial and lasting - I think the people who wrote our "current record of history" need to go back to school ...

I was stationed at Chicksands from 1974 to 1976. I occasionally gave visitors tours of the priory. I am thankful the RAF Commander gave permission for this archeological dig and for the excellent presentation by the Time Team.

Worst job is not getting paid. Those actors would have rather shoveled shit or touched ass for tons of money.

I’m an American (USA) who is hooked on British history. This was a fantastic episode in Time Team - discovering a new location for such a pivotal battle is astounding. And coincidentally, I now understand Anglo Saxon and Norman - lol, I know you Brits grow up with this info, but for us nonBrits it’s darn confusing…even after 100 TT episodes.

Just FYI. There appears to be a bit of confusion. Per Time Team there are only 12 episodes. In their listing we have Potted History (Mildenhall) | Series 17 Episode 6. In IMDB agrees with Time Team that there are only 12 episodes. However they don't have Potted History at all. Instead they have Time Team S17-E07 Cunetio. Somehow the names are messed up. The two shows are exactly the same!!! This is the link to episode six Time Team has out and they earn from our watching it there. kzread.info/dash/bejne/rJpqsKiQfa_WdKg.html To be clear I am not affiliated with Time Team in any way except being a fan. TYVM.

The "protection" of all historical sites is pathetic, sad, and a huge detriment to humanity. No one exemplifies this more than Zahi Hawass, who is the antithesis of science and discovery. He thinks of himself as some sort of royal stamp, in that only what he says goes. He stubbornly contorts and bends any new information into the old, tired, and totally wrong accepted historical model. This flawed model encompasses various disciplines in our society, from NASA and the globe earth theory to fossil records, dinosaurs, geology, biology, archaeology, and anthropology. Each field contributes a piece to the overall narrative. That is why these senior scientists and tenured educators gatekeep any new information out of their model. Otherwise, they would be shown to be totally wrong. All their praise, respect, accolades, and most importantly, power and influence would vanish overnight. Moreover, their egos cannot bear the thought of being wrong. Imagine spending 40 years on a topic, devoting your life to this question, just to find out your answers are totally wrong because you started with a bunk starting point in the first place. That realization would be soul-shattering for those who prioritize their pride and status over the pursuit of truth. They relish in being *THE Science" *and gave up earnest science a long time ago.
