I don’t usually watch youth dramas, but this was a cute coming-of-age rom-com. It came across as a mix of Love So Beautiful and Le Couple de Foudre. For those who enjoy those two older dramas, you might enjoy this drama. The cast was very decent, not corny but by very mature young adults. The storyline was simple and ordinary but presented in a sometimes funny and interesting way that spans over 10 years of their lives. The chemistry between the main leads was cute and I can see great potential with their future works. They were visually great onscreen. This was a very relaxing, cute, and no-stress drama.

I saw A Love So Beautiful but it was ok to me at least lol. I've never seen the other drama either.. However watching this mv makes want to see this drama. I feel like I need to see something like this. I still haven't seen a Chinese drama after LLTG and its been a long while 😅 just a few Korean dramas I've already seen.

Can I request some edits from not so popular dramas? First one is "psychologist" starring Yang Zi and Jing Boran. This drama dealt with real life problems rather feeding you false fairytale. After that, yes it's "A river runs through it". I don't care about genre, I don't care too much about novelty but I need to believe the story. In Chinese dramas, I never truly cope with the storyline cause I'll either see loopholes or won't buy it or feel they've gone overboard. The drama "A river runs through it" truly captivated me and I believed the story. That's the only thing that will make me truly invested. The acting and the story that makes you believe it. You can totally ignore this comment because you may not get a lot of ratings and it still your choice. But if you want to do it, can you please put old English songs? Like "At the beginning" by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis for first one and "Right here waiting" by Richard Marx for second one.♥️ Or 'goodbye' by air supply, "will you be there" by Michael Jackson, or may be "Nothing to loose" by MLTR or whatever old classics you may like.

What i love about this drama is that it's so easygoing and natural. Just how people would do something in real life without too many complications going on. It is very realistic and warm.

The drama is already special and beautiful but the song makes it more wonderful and making me eager to watch it❤ This is insane their visual's duality is 💯 from looking like a youth to looking like an adult. Its rare for an artist to have this duality in their looks🫶🏻 Gonna watch this after my exams, now I found an inspiration to study💖

This couple is quite literally THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ADORABLE COUPLR EVERRR 🫶🏼🫶🏼 Their chemistry is insane both on camera and off camera. The two beautiful leads also went on this reality sort of show and their chemistry still out shined all others I need another series with them as leads

Theres sth vy realistic and very warm abt their lovestory. ML and FL casted really well. His voice is so gd and shes so cheerful and pretty

This was a very cute drama of 2023. I loved the cp

This is the best coming to age romantic comedy I have ever watched and I have watched a LOT of Korean and Chinese ones. The ML and FL acted naturally in their scenes, very loving, good friendship, and not awkward around each other at all. Very comfortable. What teenager/young adult doesn't want to hold hands, hug or give at least a cheek kiss to their loved ones. These writers need to incorporate that a little more in their coming-of-age dramas, censor or no censor. Also, pick good ML and FL who have good chemistry. That makes all the difference.

Finished watching this drama yesterday and I must say it's one of the best youth school cdramas i've ever watched. I'm so obsessed with Wu Junting. His voice and smile are so charming. Lu Yuxiao is so adorable and pretty. They have great chemistry and make a perfect couple. Their group of friends are all good-looking as well as the second male lead. There are no annoying characters, so it's easy to watch

I can literally close my eyes and feel the emotions as she sings the song. Another rendition of this song by Dylan Brady is good. You should check it out if you haven’t heard it.

i ended up reading the novel because i want to know certain things, but apparently it's very very different. almost like two different stories with the same underlying plot (heart surgery, school transfer, going into uni one year later etc). the part for the story of their separation was actually more serious in the novel. Lin Xi's father was actually jailed and not attacked. He heard that the killer who ran over his son was out and about after hiding for so long. The killer went out with friends and got drunk, accidentally mentioning about the case. When Lin Xi's father about it, he went to find the killer (probably to bring him to police station). Unfortunately, the killer lost his balance during the scuffle and ended up falling down the stairs and died. Lin Xi's father was caught as the family of the killer accused him of killing. Lin Xi went back home, and after finding out everything, she went to find Ji JunXing's parents for help (she really has no idea where else to turn). Ji Jun Xing's grandfather (yes grandpa!) gave her two choices: they will help her dad but she either have to leave Ji Jun Xing or follow Ji Jun Xing abroad together, all expenses paid by the Ji family. With her personality how could she accept their help and shamelessly go abroad with them forking the money out? Lin Xi decided to leave JJX after accepting the help. Instead failing to come to exam, she just didn't get the passing score to Tsinghua and chose another university. Later on, she decided to go back and find JJX again so she repeated a year to enter Tsinghua. and instead of medical, she took engineering. If there's one thing I like in both novel and drama, it's JJX's persistence and loyalty toward Lin Xi. He waited for her and believed she would come to Tsinghua. Even after she left without a goodbye. JJX left his home and chose to live alone and entered Tsinghua, realising their promise to enter Tsinghua together. His grandpa was so angry he didn't want to talk to him. after all they wanted him to go to MIT. PS: JJX is so clingy and possessive toward LX. After they met again, even if JJX was angry and felt betrayed, he never to lose sight of her anymore. In the novel, LX has more in-depth character that is relatable to anyone. The gap between JJX and LX in monetary situation led LX to sometime feel inferior.
