I personally think they portrayed the novel really well. Although the drama got hate before it even started but it still pulled through. The chemistry between ZLS and CZY was so addictive to watch over and over again. Especially the sad or crying scenes I felt really would make anyone cry. Everything from the novel to manga and audio, from the drama to the actors and the OST, everything was so perfect and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I'm so glad you made an edit for this, thank you!

@@rofayda85 One of the main reasons I would say was because of the cast, a lot of people following the manga and novel were very “picky” on who got to play Sangzhi or Sangyan and just everyone. Second, some people would compare the scenes to the novel and manga saying it’s different, not as good or why did they have to change the age difference/scenes. Third, was because they say the drama was very “油” I’m not sure how to exactly explain correctly but it’s like cringy sort of?

This is the purest love story ever been made. It is so simple, in his storyline, but the chemistry and the cuteness of both Main Leaders just made this so special. They portrayed every single emotion with softness and sweetness but with passion and strength when needed. The work of the whole crew involved, from the director to everyone around, the OST, the actors contribution and the harmony and synergy on set really made this a drama absolutely worth to watch ❤

We owe the Scriptwriter on her simple, fascinating, magnificent lines in her script that have moved the viewers to feel the hatred, pain, care, concern and most the love that actors have portrayed to each other so perfect in a sweetly manner & gestures not like other dramas that hatred most of all were shown too much cruelty.... I like the director as well that made the actors act as natural as realistic 😉

The fact that he fell in love with her because he realized that she is the only one that can take care of him. And that he waited to confess after he himself felt assured that he doesn't like her like as a sister but as someone else. Best c-drama frrr

This is what true love is! The sincere love the Sang Zhi feels for Duan Jiaxu disregarding all his familial past, which is beyond his control, and the readiness to protect, cherish and sacrifice for each other....is wonderful! Dramas like these will reduce divorces among couples....

I don't think I will ever move on from this drama the plot, how they portrayed the character and the ending everything were very much satisfying and not to forget my two favourite actors chen zheyan and zhao lusi. When the drama was still ongoing I watched the drama on repeat of every episode again and again and now that the drama is complete I atleast watched the whole drama 5 times but still I can't seem to move on to another drama or search another drama to watch. This drama will be the top on my favourite cdrama list. The greenest green flag couple ever I wish I will also find someone like duan jiaxu in my life in future. Live this drama very much.

I binged it for two nights without sleep!!!! It melted my heart many times, it made me laugh. Hidden Love is the purest love story on screen that I have ever seen.

This is the first time that I find the live version More satisfying than the original manhua. Before this drama, Duan Jia xu and Sang zhi in manhua felt really good looking but Now I can't go back to the manhua, I find the art not satisfactory enough ,this cast is just too perfect handsome and beautiful !!!! The feelings they expressed through their acting made me cry, smile and laugh through out the drama ❤❤❤❤

i can't get over with this drama..i've watched it over and over again..this is the purest drama i ever watched.no toxic villain that can boil my blood..i love it so much..especially the male and female lead's acting and chemistry are superb..every episode are worth watching..

I love this kind of romance where there's no third party involves (cheating) it just went smoothly, slow burn romance, the line where zhao lusi said "he fulfilled my young first love" hits hard because i never had my first love yet , it was just so pure and innocent kind of love

I am still not able to get over this drama 🤗 , literally its the best drama of all I have seen this year 😍..... The selfless love of sang zhi filled the empty life of duan jiaxu with happiness , love and hope .... That time him and her brother were just college freshmen, meanwhile SZ was on 8th grade middle school. 3 years later, she met him again when she was 17 on second year of high school and he was 22 about to graduate from college. Those all before they reunited in yihe 2 years later, when she is 19, a college freshman and he is 24 already working as pro.

For a change no obsessed lovers trying to separate them, parents opposing them n creating issues, they just took thier own sweet time n matured as lovers. My 1st Cdrama n I loved it! I love this drama! I read the novel and this adaption was word for word the same! I have never seen a more perfect adaption. The cast had such great chemistry and everything felt so natural. I will miss this drama but I can say it was one of the best dramas to come out in 2023.

Giving this series a try is definetly worth it! I love how it didn't swiftly move to a confusing scene but we viewers were slowly held throughout the progression of Sang Zhi's innocent crush to a sincere love and affection towards Duan Jiaxu. IMO, this series was written beautifully. The lead stars have pulled off each characters they portray which is truly amazing! I'm sad that it has ended but happy just like how Duan Jiaxu feels with Sang Zhi, this show brought comfort and it made me feel at home even for a shortwhile. ♥️

This is the best love story EVER!!! It’s so heartwarming how their story developed. Sang Zhi is the real mvp for how she was always ready to defend/protect Duan Jiaxu even as a young crush. It was so beautiful to see how true love brought so much light and comfort to DJ who was suffering underneath his charming exterior.

This Cdrama brings back 2018-19-20 Cdrama fever,, a kind of fluff but full of butterflies, giggle, love, hurt ,feels.. A light romance indeed. This edit just enough to have me a butterfly in my stomach. ChenZheYuan and ZhaoLusi perfect pair and ZLS this is far the best drama of her and CZY is my fave pair on her for me. I won't mind seeing them again someday maybe another Modern but different style. I already overused a costume whether ancient or xinaxia drama esp if its not even good story nor script what more the skinship,,,rather WNT them to see in another modern drama coz I WNT to see their full feelings and expression more. They have freedom to express what romance is....

I love this..sang zhi and duan jiaxu💕❤️ i loved the novel and I'm glad this pair was chosen for the characters.. They did perfect.. So beautiful together.. I wouldn't mind another collab with Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan together too 😘🥰😍

I have read this webnovel twice...and after watching this drama I felt I really was watching sang zi and jiasu....I portrayed the characters very well.

As exclusively an action drama fan, I'm not sure how I ended up on a 21-min FMV for a romance drama--but this was very well edited! It conveyed the emotions, story and even some side elements of the plot very nicely! Awesome work.

One of the great dramas i encounter this year❤❤ I watched who rules the world because of yang yang, and know zhou lusi in there, of course their chemistry there was insane Then because of lusi i just want to try to watch hidden love, with not much expectation as its the theme of first love Watched the 1st episode, and goes on till 25, BOOOMMMMM, WOW!!!!!!!! i don't read the novel /manhwa, the plot was simple, but the way the story was told was seriously beautiful, i literally cried on few episodes 😢 the chemistry, OSTs, casting, expression, dialogues, was sooo good!!!!!
