Yes it is true but I think PBC doesn't want to stop the fight due to it being the first one PPV and first show of Amazon Prime. At least that's what I think, they didn't want to compromise the main event.

For me he was still doing well even after the cut some rounds, if he had won the last two he would have won the fight for me but blood loss and lack of vision combined with Fundora boxing decently was just a bit too much to overcome this time. Well done fighitng all 12 rounds like a Champion like that, not many could do the same.

I'm not sure if it still legal to use that rubber thing that Marquez cut man used during the second Pacquiao fight. That was effective.

Given the massive cut in round 2 and the closeness of the scores AND a split decision, Tim did extremely well. If there is a rematch he beats Fundora comfortably. Well done Tim, you could hardly see for 10 rounds and it was still a close fight. Just want to add, it's a bit puzzling they allowed the fight to continue because of the massive cut and the amount of blood loss was a concern for me to Tim's safety and well being.

​@runelillebuen6422 yes you have that correct, a total sham, even the ref and doctor failed their duty on this, when a fighters vision is hindered the fight must be stopped , hence every time a fighters eye nearly closes, they hold their fingers up as a guide to let the fight continue , short notice, dubious ducking and injuries pulling fighters, add a 6.6 southpaw to a guy who did no training for anyone that tall, fundora getting the chance to fight for all the marbles coming off a ko loss, also had no belt to offer, why was it even on the line , since the fight was scheduled as a 155 catch bout, and after re watching the fight I seriously can't see how 100 in effective jabs beats 75 power shots. They also try to show the elbow footage from the angle where its hard to see that it is not tucked in a defensive pose, the elbow is directed at the heat with fundora leaning in the opposite direction the blows were come from, all un natural , Wether it was intended or not, an argument could be put forth. His belt should not have been on the line. I have a feeling as long as fundora was still standing after 12 he was going to get the decision. Watch fenech vs azuma 1 in vegas . Dodgy .

yep the what if Tim didn't get cut doesn't matter because that's boxing & it's expected If you look at Fundora's last fight he lost by KO & he work on his mistakes to come out today & put on a gladiator fight to win 2 world titles . Tim has nothing to be concerned about this was a very close fight between Two warriors that gave it all they had dealing with everything you would expect from a world title fight . Tim will take a lot from this fight & the rematch will a sell out performance that would fill the biggest event stadium in the world . Hats off to the referee for not doing what others may have done by stopping the fight on the blood rule & allowing these men to fight to the final bell . Both men left nothing on the table and the right decision was made at the end . Can't wait for the rematch

No excuses, but that cut played a major part and kept going all the way to the end only losing to a split decision that in and of its self shows the measure of a true champion.

We all know Tim is a warrior and will fight to the bitter end, but I really think his team let him down. It just seems his team didn't have his best interest at heart.

Inexperience in tims corner cost him the fight.. in order to move forward important lessons need to be learned from this defeat.. hope tim gets rematch he deserves it for sure.

The other judge had Tim winning 8-4. The cut, by WBC rules should have either ruled the fight a DQ to Fundora, a No-contest or go to the cards. This has happened in the past, so why was it not enacted? I can only imagine it wasn’t enacted due to unified rule set being utilised. A rematch MUST HAPPEN! If Fundora gets a better offer (I can’t imagine that happening in either legacy or financial terms) then Tim should look for either WBA or IBF champions.

To your 2nd point, what I said wasn't 'invalid' because Fundora was preparing for Serhii Bohachuk (6 ft) and Tim is 5 ft 9". It's much harder for Tim to switch from Thurman (5 ft 7") to Fundora (6 ft 6") than what Fundora had to switch to.
