Yeah I love how he took that idea and built atop it. I periodically return to watch this again because it has most of my favorite of Tim's comedic bits. But if you think comedy is all Tim has to offer, you're missing the point. His recent album, Apart Together, shows that his humor is incidental to his incredible insight; almost as if it's the world that's funny, and Tim's genius is to simply show it to us.
@bilindalaw-morley1614 жыл бұрын
I just heard on the Southbank vid that in 2005 he won a newcomer award. So in 15 years, as I write this in the time of plague, he’s starred in probably the best musical ever(JC Superstar) as well as writing two musicals. I don’t know how many tours, but they’ve included Sydney Opera House, and the Royal Albert Hall. He’s made the world a little less plastic, he’s made so many people laugh and cry and think that he should by rights be a National Treasure in any country whose residents have a rudimentary knowledge of English. So big a You Tube presence that I’m starting to think that if anyone asked me my favourite performer I’d say “Tim Minchin.”...”what do you mean, what others?...There are no others....I will prove it..ask me, favourite singer? Favourite song writer? Favourite lyricist? Comedian?” IN FIFTEEN FREAKING YEARS THAT’S JUST THE LEAST OF IT.

Yeah I love how he took that idea and built atop it. At the end of What there's a little message about how that special specifically payed tribute to the past and other great comedians who Bo learnt from or liked. The line about Jesus not knowing he owed his feet to Tony is one of the most perfectly crafted sentences I have ever heard.
