Wow, he really does have a dark side too, he really did develop his brooding potential 😮

Pretty sure Storm would think that “even when you try to make things more intimate, you can never truly project that feeling to others because you have to be face to face for any feeling of intimacy to ever happen. Believing you can simply makes you look entitled and pompous.”

@@janscutter Please ask Storm if she's ever laughed or cried watching a movie or listening to a beautiful album. Maybe she'll say she hasn't 'truly' laughed or cried.

Yeah, bro... this guy is really deep
I think he's brilliant. Heavily underrated and one of the most intelligent, emotionally mature and kind hearted beings. I'm always smiling and tearing up at the same time looking at him.

How lucky are we that we get to share the planet with thie marvelous and talented man?

I asked myself what blowed me away most about Tim. His haunting vocal color, his insane vocal range, his incredible skills playing musical instruments, his qualities as a songwriter, the ability to contemplate that is reflected in his lyrics? Yes, all of that, but beyond that, it's his AUTHENTICITY and SINCERE. Of course it would be presumptuous to claim that we know what the artist is really like, but even in a role he seems real. He doesn't act it, he shows a real facet of his soul. Every performance is a kind of soul striptease, which, by the way, in my opinion, requires enormous courage, as it potentially opens up a target for the public to attack. For me, Tim is a breath of fresh air in today's directed and choreographed plastic world. Apparently you don't necessarily always have to sing about lofty topics to make the world a better place. Tim is proof of that. After the concert here I am left with a somewhat melancholic feeling of happiness, like after an intimate conversation with an old friend. Thanks Tim, you're amazing! Love from Germany.

I know you once professed that you do not read KZread comments, but should you dare to decide to do it anyway, I'd quite like you to know that there are those of us who will ever regard you as one of the greatest artists of all time, Tim. Be well.

The same with this “young” 64 year old working Nana in the United States! Tim is an amazing pianist, singer, songwriter, actor, comedian, great guy I’d like to sit down with and talk with over a glass of wine!❤️ This was a fantastic video!
Love the fact that Sarah's in the studio. He may write a few lines here and there that make her grimace, but if I were her, I'd burst into tears every time I heard him sing, "But my girl has my heart in a house half a planet away, and I'd rather murder than hurt her ..." - that's love. ♥
Like many, I've been a massive Minchin fan for many years. I first saw him at the Melbourne comedy Festival before he was introduced to the world at Edinburgh. I feel like I've spent the years since 'stalking' Tim on an increasing range of media, excitedly searching for the next thing he's going to bless with his unique views and talent. Thank you Tim for many cherished years of the most brilliant music, comedy, musicals, TV & movies, interviews and speeches. Thanks Sarah (and family) for sharing him with us :)
Excellent! True, raw talent. Love his authenticity.
Anyone can say "I can develop my brooding potential" but it takes a REAL artist to actually develop their brooding potential and touch your heart 15 years later
Tim always brings me joy. Am 75 and still alive. So Tim I welcome more from Minchin Land.
This guy seems to know all the words of stayin alive
Love that he still uses same two backup musicians. At 75, ❤ me some Tim daily . 54% USA wants you back, Tim.

Leave it to Tim to make it delightfully weird in the first two minutes, I love it.
Oh my goodness thank you much! I watched it five times when it came out the first time and I’m so happy to watch it another 500

Iv lost track how long I have been a fan of Tim , there is nothing he can't do if he puts his mind to it , I love the album , but due to health issues I have not been able to see him for few years now , this was fantastic , thank you tim, your a gem
the artist spirit at its best! What a beauty!
This man is a treasure of a human being. This whole session is something else, the music, the text, both mangled together.... It make a truly spectacular experience.
I would love nothing more for this to be on DVD. I remember watching this whilst very pregnant with my daughter and being absolutely in awe of how beautiful this record was. Still one of my favourite full albums of all time. Thank you so much for being such a special part of my life ❤️
Jeez, I thought the album was perfect (by far my most played album in the last 2 years) - but this is even perfecter. Damn, this lad has some ability.

Thank you for uploading this. I remember sitting at home watching this live with my mother just after my father died. At that moment I don't think either if us knew how we'd start to heal but i can't put into words how much this helped, having this to share. It really touched us both when we needed it. Thank you, Tim.
Love this Album. It’s been a minute and a lifetime since we gathered in living rooms and kitchens watching this concert being streamed apart but together. So grateful I can watch it again this time with as many people as I want 😊
The airport song really touched me. Time is slipping away, yes
Holy Shit! Tim Minchin is back!! I've loved all of your work, but I can't tell you how jazzed I am to see you behind the keys again!
What a cool surprise to see Ben show up! :)
Mate, you truly are the greatest!

Such an amazing artist. Thank you so much! I'm so happy you exist. You make cry and laugh and yes, people with English as a second language struggle a lot sometimes to get you, but... Hey! We all struggle to understand each other, that's what motivates us to open up sometimes.
Oh my Mr Minchin this is genius, beautiful, melancholy, serendipitous and so much more. I could listen to you sing forever thank you for sharing this with humanity 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👌👌👌👌👏👏👏👏👏👏♥️♥️♥️
I can't love these songs enough. Every time I listen to the album, it's, just... an experience.
I knew Tim from his comedy, but this is a new Tim Minchin - I Approve!!!
no words to express how much I love Minchin's art. Greetings from Russia ✨
This album has moved me when it came out. Thank you for releasing this!
I watched this once with my friend when it was released and I planned to watch it again with another friend but the internet was acting up so we couldn't watch it together. So glad this is available for everyone now!
i'm pretty sure there is actually nothing in the world that Tim Minchin can't do - at least when it comes to music. i mean, his lyrics are brilliant and his jokes are hilarious, and we love him for being funny and really really sad at the same time, but do not let this overshadow his fantastic musical talent. for God's sake, this man can play two pianos at a time. i mean i would be impressed even if it was the only thing he did. he never fails to amaze me. i found myself sipping wine and crying in the corner after watching this concert, and it's been a thrilling journey
Find someone who looks at you like Tim Minchin looks at Ben Folds soloing on his song.
Tim, you are my happiest discovery of 2023, only 18 years after you came on the scene. you've given me hundreds of hours of pleasure over the past several months. thank you. I envy your mind.

Watching this again on christmas eve. I’m spending the night alone while my family and friends are miles away. Tim is probably never gonna read this, but thank you for accompanying me and being a light on this lonely night.
This gig was definitely a ray of sunshine during the dark times of the lockdown ❤
I love seeing the singers and musicians who made this album so amazing!
Damn! What a beautiful surprise!! Thank you!!
Tim, thank you for posting this beautiful show online for everyone to share and enjoy. Thinking of you and your family during this sad time 💔 I'm very much looking forward to your hometown Perth shows early next year.
Just got home from your live show tonight and I wanted to say *thank you* for the incredible experience, and for the new shiny album I could play in the car on the way home. I'm so sorry about your mum. You did amazing to get through White Wine in the Sun without bawling (...I didn't). You are a most exceptional performer and this song was one of my favourites.
Thank you so much, Tim. I've been a fan for who knows how much time and absolutely love your songs and everything. I'm an autistic guy and your music is totally one of my most strong interests ever and it will probably be for the rest of my life + these songs certainly give me comfort when I'm a bit stressed. As a Mexican fan, I'm happy i can now watch this!
This is such a well-crafted special. Well done to the whole team. Completely beautiful.
OMG I loved this concert so much from start to stop! Lots of tears and laughs! I'm so happy to get to see this again! Thank you so much, Tim! We love you! 💗💜🖤
Haven't cried like this in years😢
3 yrs ago today, my husband passed away, during Covid, when no Dr would examine him. As he grew thinner & thinner. By the time I was jumping up and down and screaming for someone, anyone, to help him, he only had 7 wks left to live. Not enough time to say goodbye after a 33+ yr marriage. As I sit here, with my Tab, reflecting on how little I have done since, I found this newly released tape. Thank you for helping me to laugh on a very difficult day. ❤❤ PS~ I know this is not a brand new show, but I had never seen it. 🎉
I discovered this Album during the most formative months of my life, exemplifying all the myriad of feeling and tragedy and optimism. It become the comfort I fell to in dark days and the heights I aspired to on bright ones. It helped me bridge the gap between my feelings, my mind and my words. And through my love of these songs i reconnected with my love of playing the piano. This Album, among much of what's come before or since has been a source of irreplaceable inspiration to me for many years before, and I know for many more to come. Thanks Tim. ❤
Thank you.. My favourite... the last one... "Carry you" my anthem for my sister who died this July in a motorcycle crash. Thank you for this song!
beautiful
It gets better and better the more I watch
I love that "Leaving LA" ends with him leaving (h)ell. Having lived in the states all of my life, I never ever thought that this country could actually turn into "The Handmaid's Tale". We must stop it.
My deepest condolences at your recent loss. As someone watching my 94 year old mum starting to fade I am keenly aware of the passage of time and the pending loss. It is never easy, even if you see it coming. My heart goes out to you and your family. Thank you so much for posting this concert. I love this album so much and listen to it often and send it to anyone who will listen. Living so far away it is unlikely I will have the opportunity to see you live in concert, this felt like the next best thing. A bottle of Shiraz, some lovely cheese and this Video made my evening and the treat of having Ben Folds there was just an amazing treat. ❤❤
The end of Airport Piano is the BEST!!!
Just found this. I was privileged to see the original concert online. This is a very special performance for me. At a time when it was hard to find joy, this was like getting a bit of life back in my life. Thanks again, Tim, and the same to all the talented artists who have the good fortune to work with you.
What a fantastic artist, what a great set of musicians, what a great registration.
Tim is the very best..... totally unspoilt and always wonderful!!!!! xx
Awesome-just awesome thank you Tim
Bloody hell this was GOOD
i feel so lucky that i got to see him on his unfunny evenings tour and i hope to god he does another similar show , it was just so intimate and personal
Thank you. This was the best birthday present I could have hoped for. I was unaware of the existence of this show until tonight.
That was wonderful. Thank you Tim.
Ben Folds on the pian-o! gotta love him
I just watched this again and love it more and more! I'm not sure if this is my 3rd or 4th time but it certainly will not be my last! Great work, all of you in the show!!!!!!! So so so so so so Great! Tim, you always grab me by the heartstrings! 💖
This is my very first time seeing and hearing this, and it's captivating to see this side of Tim. I've caught glimpses of his kind of moodier side on occasion. But this is great. Thank you, Tim for sharing this with us. 😊❤
One of my favorites! Greetings from Norway!☃☃☃🌞
This was so great! Thank you for let us watch this for free ❤ you're amazing and a big role model for a lot of new musicians and I might say, even for old folks trying to make music, like me 😂
What a beautiful emotional roller coaster that was … thank you

I really miss Funny Minchin. Listening to him was a safe way of escapism for me. Those were simpler times. Melancholic Minchin has made me cry every single time ever, since White Wine In The Sun. I'm ecstatic that Hype Minchin has become so successful. But I really truly miss simply Funny Minchin.

❤ Beautiful. I could listen all day long. Just beautiful.
So loved this when it was first shown in 2020 and hugely glad that is now available to stream. Less happy with KZread - who decided that partway through the intro of Talks Too Much is a great place for an ad break
This is not real!!!! 😭😭😭 thanks you so much Tim!!!
thank you so much for releasing this. I missed it when it was live-streamed and was concerned that I would never see it. this album is amazing!
Incredible Tim. Loss has mass is a striking quote, to which everyone can relate to in one way or any other. Thank you.
loving ben folds just dropping in, legend!,. I'm still processing how great this session is/was, would of loved to see this live :) it was funny, emotional and epic :)
I bought this album as soon as I knew about it... and you share this on what would be my second born's 14th birthday. Thank you.
Tim 5am Perth time watching your show. Thank you incredible as per usual. Just love your heart your comedy your music and that piano playing superb. My mum who is no longer here used to say Liberace is my piano playing man! Well you’re mine.! Even if it’s only in my mind. You always make me one proud Aussie. Much love Leisa Western Australia xxx PS will join you in the nursing home for some mashed banana and some musical runs xx
Absolutely totally fucking brilliant!! Genius!!! And incredible, incredible musicians. What a colossal talent Tim is, I just don’t have the words!!! More more more please❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Extremely clear sound to help enjoy the entire ensemble❤
Love this, have listened to it twice through already today. The last couple of years have really cemented my love of Tim the singer over Tim the comedian. Still love both though :) Now, if only there was a new album to look forward to....
I love this. Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful. ❤ Thank you so much for sharing this performance with the world. Loved every minute of this show.
Omg yes!! I needed this so much today💖 Gonna be a bit busy for the next few hours as I watch this again and again
I am so happy you released this. I watched it live and hoped that this would be re-released some day, and not just lost in the void!
I can't dance, but I am a metalhead, and find myself headbanging uncontrollably every time I hear 'Talked Too Much and Stayed Too Long.' Truly, a rock and roll (nerd) song. \m/ \m/
