42:55 Am I the only one who thinks of Tim primarily as a guitarist of course, but secondarily as a fashion icon? The dude has taste, and it suits him very much. The mullet, the tattoos, the rollnecks, the kicks, the whole theme going on with his signature guitars, everything is just so goddamn cool. And for his face, he is basically the BTS V of the guitar world, in a very good way.

I'm new to Tim and his playing and music. and I only heard of his group via Vai's posting of Ego Death. First listen I skipped to Steve's part. Then I watched his two pick scratches over and over, and smiled every time. Then I paid attention to the end when they're all playing standing almost back to back facing outward, and I thought. "wow, that's very cool". And then I finally paid attention to the rest of the song, and I was like "Holy shit these guys can play". And then Tim playing a solo piece "Playing God" which showed not only his amazing playing, but also compositional skills and broad musical education and knowledge. And damn, I was blown away. And what a nice and insighful interview that was. Saddened Tim got shit from some idiots and bigots etc... Well, I just can't wait to follow his career and my mind boggles at what's in store. And I was also impressed with his slippers.

I don't think people understand how hard it is to be mainstream. If you see most pop artist make it into the mainstream, that's because most of it is done by big corps who is looking for talents. If you listen to Polyphia now and 10 years ago, they were really trying to perfect their craft and find their identity. Seeing how hip hop is such a big genre in the music business, they've managed to fuse their technical playing with hip hop/rap whilst also creating tracks like Playing God. Then they also changed how they look and shaped their own aesthetic so it could be synonymus with their music. Remember Tim is 29 years old, at least 19 of those years are used to practice and create his craft. If people want to talk shit, they better have enough crediblity to do so.

Ive been a fan of Herman for a while because Im into Twitch music channels since they started having more than just ITL but actual categories of shows. Anyway, i just discovered Tim 2 days ago for some reason (late to the game as usual) 😂 but wow Im digging the talent BIGTIME the technicality, and the super chill vibes . Inspiring MANY bedroom artists of all genres too and its cool cause they are unique in this respect and while not all will have nice things to say about Tim (Idk why) theres something UNDENIABLY COOL about him and Polyphia thats is going to spawn a whole generation of future artists and that is so worth it IMO. I bet they are super stokked about the new album and rightfully so ❤. Cool interview btw.

This has quickly become my favourite polyphia channel. Great job Herman, I’m not sure what you did before documenting polyphia but you seem quite knowledgeable about guitars and music.

Polyphia has been in the scene for a long time, but I just discovered them a couple of months ago. Their music is melodic. I’m a rhythm gamer, and the songs there aren’t focused on lyrics, but the technique of the composer/musician. This fits the bill. Must be the algorithm.

I just discovered Polyphia and Tim literally last week so the social media stuff is working, guys. The new album is an immense musical leap I enjoyed twice today all ready. Great interview, Herman. I love hearing how grateful Tim is and how introspective he is about how trials pass by and one can endure. I appreciate the long form chat and getting to know you both a little better. I hope RTYWD is a huge success and I know that you all are just coming into a new level of creativity. Keep making great art and let that joy come through. Rock on.

It is really good to see the growth in Tim since the last interview I saw with him. Looks like he is growing up and starting to understand the value of the gifts he has been given. As he grows more I hope he gets how much he is able to influence a lot of people and that it can be wielded as a tool for good or just contributing more to the steady decline in humanity where people will ultimately end up standing at their property lines screaming incoherently while flinging poo at each other. Will he become a boon to humanity or will he become just another resource suck on the world? Music IS that powerful! Stay tuned!!!

I saw them in H Town, VIP meet and greet- they were phenomenal! All members of the band were genuine, respectful of the questions the fans were asking. They sounded amazing. It was a full house. Listening to them in person was surreal. The sky is the limit for Polyphia! I am a die hard, loyal fan!
