But it's gonna take a lot even if they decide to trade him. Kispert is also perfect but they aren't taking a high first for him. And they picked deni around 8. And they probably would do it again. So firsts around the 25th pick isn't very enticing for them. But who knows.

Luka should be very happy with the progress of last season. It was a done in a shrewd, methodical fashion. Kudos to Nico. Luka should be happy he has an exec that isn't going to gamble his prime either - if the deal is an overpay, don't do it and wait for something better. He's trying to build him a core to compete for the next 5-8 years.

Nah, he’s got some value still as a player I think. But an expiring contract is very valuable to any team and is an asset in and of itself.

If he is traded to the Wizards, Kuzma somehow or Deni somehow, along with Patrick Baldwin, he could take Maxi spot instantly.

Trade Timmy, take what you can get and keep the squad together. Allow Ky, Luka and Tyson chandelier to bring these young cats up and teach them what they know. I’ve watched Josh Green, D Live and Hardy all improve their passing and I feel like that’s come from Luka and Ky. Feel like this team has a bond and breaking up a key piece could cause damage

THJ's time is up in Dallas as well as having his Dad just being an annoyance for the fan base. Players need to understand they need to produce or you're going somewhere else. Maybe that's what THJ wants. Idk. But he and his bad MOJO do not need to be on the roster next season.

Mikal bridges is the most comparable piece to pj washington imo 3s and D honestly especially guarding the other teams top ball handlers like DJJ did having 2 of those with DJJ think would be good

I'd be okay with Anunoby, but I will ALWAYS want them to get Derozan. I've watched him for YEARS with the Bulls and he would be a GREAT addition. 24ppg@50%/5/4, was the 2nd most clutch player in the NBA behind Steph Curry this year (not bad company to keep), has playoff experience and has been a good soldier on a mediocre Bulls team. He plays hard, he stays mostly healthy, and as a midrange player he gives the Mavs a dimension THEY DON"T HAVE! They already have 10 guys who shoot 3s at 36%-40% so why do people want ANOTHER guy who shoots a fraction better? Get someone that can get you baskets when the long ball isn't falling so the other team can't go on a run putting you in a hole. The best part is he desperately wants to play on a winner and just wants a 3 year contract below $40 million (Who knows what he'd accept to play on an NBA Finalist?). If they can clear enough cap space to get Grant, then it's a short jump to Derozan's numbers and he's a MUCH better fit.

He misses a minimum of 25 games per season with injuries and hasn’t been on a playoff team so you don’t know how his body would hold up for an extra 20. I like how he gets to the rim but he is nowhere close to Derozan in terms of overall offensive play. Not sure how you’re judging an individual defender but I’ve heard nothing about him being an exceptional defensive player.

Morris is definitely the leader behind the scenes. Every player respects Morris like big brother. He's much needed in the locker room and clean up time. He still pops 3's and protects the rim at his age pretty well.

@@degengam2781 I was a basketball fan back in the 90s when Jordan was dominating, but then just occasionally watched some NBA games until this year. After football ended I wanted something to bet on and started watching the NBA again. My reintroduction to the NBA was the All-Star game. Luka was cracking me tf up. Like when he shot a full court shot for no reason and when he tried and failed to do the self alley-oop dunk. When I saw him playing for real, he blew me away. I instantly became a Mavs' fan. So, I don't know much about a lot of the history of the guys on the team. I thought Hardy was young too and when he would come in, he looked like a player with a lot of potential.

I’ve been a Mavs since 2001 that’s when I first became conscious of watching basketball and understanding things of that nature. Being from Fort Worth I had to be a Mavs fan, it’s been a terribly painful journey. And at this point in my old age I can call them pretty well after a season usually after summer league and Jaden Hardy just doesn’t have the intangibles of a 9 year career guy

Hardy, on the verge of being a star? He’s closer to being on the verge of being a bust. All the tools in the world, but lacks mental toughness to succeed in the NBA. Not once was he part of a run in the playoffs. Did his “thing” during meaningless minutes. Knucklehead mistakes, missed assignments on D….even when hitting shots, he’s of a negative value. He’s an illusion….Omax should be untouchable. A stud! Has it all, mental, physical, just needs more development.
